I want to try Cindy's Royal Table for breakfast on my next solo trip, but am concerned that I'll be way out of place and the characters will ignore me since I'll be there solo. Do they treat solo, adult guests the same as those with little kids?

We had breakfast at CRT for the first time on my 30th birthday just DH and I (before the kids were born) and it was a wonderful meal.

It was surprisingly quiet. We sat at a table for two next to a window to fantasy land. The princesses all made a fuss over it being my birthday. Belle said I looked so young I could steal the Prince away from Cindy. The Prince came over and kissed my hand Belle said she was going to tell Cindy. It was all so much fun.

I would go solo. You'll have so much fun!

You'll have a great time! We find that characters are able to "let loose" a little bit with us because we're a table of adults--they can be funny, make subtle jokes, etc. It's a nice change for them (at least they make it seem that way).

I think you won't have a moment of awkwardness. Definitely do it! :-)

They visit every table, and if you show an interest they'll generally give you plenty of attention regardless of ages or size of party.

Thanks for the info. I just was not sure if you are there solo, if they just pass by you or stop to say hi.

Do these characters have CM's that go with them to take photos?

I have a gorillapod. It is a small bendy tripod that you can set on a table. I set my camera up and use the timer to take pics of myself with the characters if no handlers are available. They cost around $20 and are compact enough to fit even in a small backpack or waistpack. They also come in handy for taking steady pictures at night.

I found the best way to havemy picture taken with a character when I'm solo at a character meal, because even if they have a CM, that person maybe stepped away for a minute. I just hand my camera to the character and say "Do you think someone would take our picture?" The character always grabs omeone (it may be the unsuspecting person sitting with his back to us. Boy what a shock!) I always get my picture taken with the character, and it usually causes some fun.

How hard is it going to be to get an ADR for just 1 person?
