princess: Can anyone give me an idea of how long Cindy's breakfast usually lasts? From what I've heard, you're served your food as soon as you're seated, but how long do they allow you to linger with the Characters? I was thinking we'd be there around an hour, but I wasn't sure if that was too short or too long of a time frame to expect.

Also, any advice for toddlers who might get scared to death as opposed to overjoyed at the sight of seeing any of the Characters so the moment can be as positive as possible? I'm not talking about a shy child, but one rather who would tell the Character to go away if they were scared enough!

Thanks!

I think an hour is about right, we didn't feel rushed, and were probably there 45 minutes, maybe a bit longer. The characters were really good with our kids, our older DD is slow to warm up but the little one wants nothing to do with princesses, or Mary Poppins either. They said hello, kept a safe distance and were slow to approach the table until they saw how the kids reacted. At LTT dinner Chip played with me (sitting next to little one) for a while, until she reached out and touched his hand. They she was fine, and they spent time with her.

DD and DS at the age of 2 1/2 were a little afraid of the non-face characters, but loved the princesses at CRT. Both ran to them as they approached our table and hugged them. I know other characters at character meals approached the tables slowly until they could judge how the chidren would react. I'd imagine the princesses would do the same- we didn't get a chance to find out ours were so excited! They were all very sweet. We had the opposite problem- our children didn't want to quit hugging them so they could move on. They were all very sweet about this and gentle- they stayed a few seconds more so they could get away without the kids crying. They were all professional and good with children.
However, DS was afraid of Mary Poppins- don't know why. She took it well. I just felt bad b/c she walked up as Snow White had picked him up and he was loving all over her. Oh well- maybe it was her hat!
