I read the French Toast at Cindy's breakfast has cream cheese & blueberries ?
Is that true ?

My kids are "adult prices" - but can they get the waffles instead ?
How about the toy wand and sword - can they get them if they are young adults (under 15 years old) ? - they are still kids who like little trinket, at least while at WDW :goodvibes

Per the adult menu at Cindy's:
Fresh Fruit
Scrambled Eggs
Bacon
Sausage
Cheese Danish
French Toast <-- Is it plain or with cream cheese & blueberries ?
Potato Casserole

it is stuffed french toast and quite quite yummy! my dd-11yo opted for the kids' meal and it was no problem... we were also able to get the yummiest croissants ('cause they were safe for ds' food allergies) :)

sorry, don't know about the trinkets as we were there pre 2/1

It is stuffed french toast with a cream cheese filling and it is absolutely delicious. They pour a blueberry topping on it. I ate mine, DHs, and DS's. I have never had french toast like that anywhere else in WDW. :thumbsup2

Thanks - since our kids are almost adults - we'll get the french toast and for our kids ask for the french toast on their adult size plate be swapped to waffles.

We have an 8:10 am breakfast - so hopefully the chef will not mind the swap.

Thanks for the advice :cool1:

Actually, it's not stuffed french toast - it deep fried cheese danish. And extra yummy too!!!!

Occasionally they serve it with apples on top (like apple pie filling). The first few times we had it they served it plain with no fruit on it at all. That's the way I like it best.

I truly don't think they make waffles at CRT. They do have a "healthy choice" option, at least they used to, but no waffles that I know of.

They don't have waffles at CRT. Breakfast is the same for kids and adults. You can request a good yogurt and granola instead of your regular meal. My oldest DD got this and loved it. My 6 y/o opted for the regular food and didn't touch most of it. She hated the stuffed french toast and ended up eating one tiny cinnamon danish.

my kids were both offered waffles at CRT (and ate them!)... if they don't offer them, and you want them, just ask! [maybe it's because ds is peanut/tree nut allergic?]

Are you serious? We've eaten at CRT 6 times and always asked if there were waffles available because DD truly eats nothing there. We've always been told no. How long ago was this? Our most recent visit was October 2005. I can't imagine being told no 6 times and yet you got them? Sounds strange to me. :confused3

we ate there most recently in jan '06 (MLK weekend)... again, it could be 'cause ds has food allergies, but i cannot imagine them not accomodating others requests as well...

Maybe it was the allergies. Oh well, we are finished with CRT these days anyway. We have been enough and honestly were never impressed with the place. Now that they jacked up the prices I really think it isn't worth it.

I've eaten there several times (last time being end of November) and the kid's plate was French Toast sticks, bacon and/or sausage.

IMHO, the adult 'French Toast' isn't really French Toast. It's really a cream cheese danish with the Blueberries on top. YUMMY!
