Cinder's Royal Table Good or Bad?

I've asked around and have gotten some very bad reviews on CRT. We have planned on coming for dinner. Can it be true? Is it that the food isn't as good, just slopped on a plate? The only characters you see is the fairy godmom prancing around while Cinderella is downstairs taking photo ops? Are the tables so close that you might be knocking elbows with your fellow neighbor? It is so loud you won't be able to hear yourself speak?

As you can see I am very upset and confused about this. I'm not going with children, but with adults as we will be celebrating some special milestones. Can anyone give me some advice, help, thoughts, opinions.....whatever information you can offer me?

Why should I go as opposed to not going?

dinner so I can't speak to the food. We have done lunch the last three trips which I guess it is evidence that we think it's worth the money. But we also get the upstairs princesses which is a draw for my daughter.

The dining room is relatively small. They fit as many tables as possible in there but in no way are you bumping into your neighbors - at least where we have been seated. There are several non Disney restaurants where I live that I have a higher probability of bumping into another diner's chair than I do at CRT.

It can be somewhat loud but I go when characters are there and there are probably a higher percentage of kids that are anxious to see the characters. I really don't think it's as loud as California Grill or Narcossee's even with all thenkids and the characters.

Some people report having problems with the food with many of these driven somewhat by price. We can probably eat at most of the signature restaurants for what we pay at CRT. The food is not going to be as good. The focus is a little different - at least at at lunch - and the price includes a few additional perks including eating in the castle. And I'll say that the atmosphere is nice inside. (I can also say that CP is pretty inside but it's quite loud, a buffet and the atmosphere is not quite there because of the constant frenetic activity that's not at CRT.) I'm sure it's even better at night.

We have been to CRT for dinner and breakfast and I have to say we prefer dinner.

It is not as loud at dinner as it is at breakfast. And a lot of that I think has to do with the fact that it isn't as "exciting" as the breakfast with the princesses gathered in the room and because the way the room is built makes it seem louder than it is.

They do try to put as many tables in there as possible, but you will not be knocking elbows with your neighbors.

As for the food, DH and I loved the food at dinner (just DH and I) and hated the breakfast food (me, DH and DS). It's hard to ruin eggs and sausage, but they managed to do it. Now, the food at dinner is not five star quality, but it is good (DH had the prime rib and the chocolate cake; I had the pasta and the sorbet). I think some of the complaints about the food are because people have built up in their minds what they think they should expect and it just doesn't turn out that way. I see the comment all the time "For all that money they should have better food."; but a good portion of the cost is just because of the fact you are dining in the castle. DH and I had no expectations when we went for our dinner beyond being excited that we were eating in the castle and we came out glad that we'd had such a great time and some good food; totally worth it for us.

When we take DD for her first trip in 2011, we are going to do dinner again. I will never do breakfast again; to me, that was a waste of money.

I think since you are all adults and you are celebrating some special milestones that dinner would be a better fit for all of you. It is quieter and the food is better in my opinion.

Did you want the princesses to be there?

We've done breakfast and dinner. I wouldn't recommend breakfast because the value for the buck just isn't there, imo. Yes, the place is crowded and can be chaotic. But I think everyone should eat in the caste at least once.

Actually the fairy godmother just walks around, the two female mice (Perla and Suzie) actually prance around :dance3:

The meals are pre fixe, so most of the plates are already put togehter and just brought right out. DH and I both had the prime rib last year and we enjoyed it a lot.
