Was quite possiby one of the best meals ive ever had. What other restaraunts compete with this?

Best meal ambiance wise or food wise? Ambiance wise nothing is like being in the actual castle, but there are other fun meals out there. Food wise?? CRT probably wouldn't even make my top twenty of WDW meals.

I’m so glad your family had a great time at crt.

I think sometimes we get jaded about things. The castle is magical and every little girl should go at least once. (Or the little girl in all of us)

Hard to beat walking up the spiral staircase and seeing the dining area for the first time! Happy you had a great experience.

We have been there three times over the last 4 years. I think the food there is pretty solid, and the menu changes fairly periodically with new/seasonal items. I don't know why people complain about the food and insist CRT is for atmosphere only. The food is definitely better now than it used to be.

I think the food is made "catering style" i.e., entrees options cooked up ahead of time and then served when ordered, rather than made fresh to order. It has a sort of lukewarm, slightly-dried-out, flavors mushed together effect that I associated with food sitting on the plate too long before being served. Plus, the food is pretty unambitious--it has that "hotel restaurant" vibe of checking the boxes of things that most people will eat, which I get because they want to be welcoming of all palates, but for the price I do wish they had one or two more creative options.
