I have reservations to take my 8 yr. old DD to dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. Is it worth the price? Is it a truly magical experience? Any feedback would be appreciated!

We did CRT last summer with my DD6 - she is quite a tomboy and I didn't know if she would enjoy this or not but everyone kept telling me to take her. After calling on several days in a row, I was able to make ADRs and well - I have to say CRT brought out her inner princess and now she can't wait to go see the princesses again this year! She is even planning to dress up in her favorite princess costume this time around.

Great! My DD thinks she's a bit too old for the whole Disney experience but I know better. Now that she knows we're going she's suddenly not too old! She is excited about eating in the castle, as am I. In all my years of going to Disney I've never been able to eat there and my inner princess is dying to go! :rotfl:

I think it's totally worth it just based on me. We have no kids, but my niece loved it and I love it. I ate there for my birthday dinner this year and thought it was completely worth the price. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is unbeatable. The breakfast is great too. The characters are fun, you still have the great atmosphere and the food was excellent for breakfast as well. Really a great experience IMO.

We did CRT lunch in Sept 05 when it was still 2 credits and cheaper OOP. I would not do it for the current price or the two credits BUT having said that, it was nice to say we did it and get pics and do it once. None of my girls are interested in going again this year if that tells you something. All three girls. I am not slamming it, as I think a once in a lifetime experience is good (and some go often I am sure) but just giving you my oppinion.

Our food was ok. We did not get enough appetizer for the five of us.
The server was not nice to us, esp to me when I spilled my diet coke and cleaned it up myself and had evil looks from her.
I did enjoy the blueberry dessert as did DH but we did not enjoy our entrees much to be honest. He had the turkey focaccia sandwhich I had Major Domo. We had fun with the fairy godmother and the nice little hostess that let my girls ring the dinner bell. (Downstairs)

I felt the princesses did not give me enough photo ops... I would have liked to have a few individual pics of the girls with their respective princess (they dressed up) but instead they had all three of them get with each princess...

I am not one who expects 20 mins at my table from a character but seriously

we got more interaction from Mickey at CM's and he doesn't even TALK!! :lmao:

If you do go, have a great time!!

Even at my worst meal at WDW, I was having the TIME of my life!!!

I loved the experience of eating in the castle!!! It was just my DH and myself last October on the dning plan. But I didnt really care much for the food. BUt I can be a bit of a picky eater. I will give it a try once again after I have my little one, but to go back as just DH and myself, I wouldnt.
After all the years of visiting WDW and walking through the castle, it was wonderful to go upstairs and see the park from there, and experience it! :goodvibes

We did CRT on our trip a couple weeks ago and loved it. The princesses did do pictures with each of my girls individually. They loved it! We are actually consicdering doing it again during our trip in December since our friends haven't been there yet.

Good luck and have a great time!

We ate breakfast there Jan '05 with my then 8 y/o tomboy GD. She enjoyed it, but liked Crytal Palace that night better. I took my adult D-I-L and younger son there last Sept and she loved it. I took my 73 y/o mom there in Dec and she also enjoyed it. I went back a couple of weeks later with my now 9 y/o GD for lunch and while she enjoyed it, she later said she did not want to do it again.

If you or your child has never been, I'd do it, but with the price increase there is no way I'd do it again. A matter of been there, done that, food and service wasn't that great, have no desire to go back.
