I think there has been a few threads posted on this recently. But for anyone who hasn't booked and wants to do so, you may be very very pleasantly surprised. :)

We'll arrive in Florida on 28 June. After checking EMH etc, I decided to try for Cindy's (breakfast or lunch) on 4 different dates. My first choice was 1st July, I called tonight (4 months out) and was offered 7 different times for breakfast, :thumbsup2 I then spoke to huuby who said, I'd prefer lunch - so I asked the CM to check for a 1pm reservation for lunch. I honestly could not belive it when she said - "yeah - I have that time available for a party of 4". :duck:

So the new ADR system for Cindy's is obviously having a fairly big impact!

I think the new package costs have ut people off a lot, congratualtiosn and I hope you enjoy it!!!!! let us know what it was like when you get back.

We have lunch reservations in May and i keep changing my mind about whether to cancel them or not.

The best reason for us to go is to see princesses and eat in the castle but sometimes recently it is only 2 princesses. Sorry but DD doesn't know who Alice, Mary Poppins or anyone but Princesses really.

Lunch menu doesn't seem to have good choices for us and breakfast was already booked. Dinner only has one princess.

We will also be doing 1900 Park Fare and Princess Storybook lunch for sure.

we have booked to go to CRT in August, cant wait!
we have done the princess breakfast in epcot and that was excellent, this one had quite a few princessess going around the tables.

We actullay did both this and the EPCOT one last year and have previously done 1900 Park Fare (saw Cinderella). The whole atmosphere at CRT is fantastic and its for that reason that we've chosen this one over the EPCOT one. The EPCOT one is very good though don't get me wrong.

Last year we saw Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Mary Poppins at CRT. In EPCOT we saw, Arial, Belle, Jasmine and Aurora.

WishILivinFl - If you are solely going to see the Princesses then I can see why you might want to cancel. BUT seriously for the "whole" experience this one can't be beat.

I think the rumoured new pixar/toy story character nreakkie may have a big impact if and when it comes into place, maybe a lot of people are holding off for that - I know I'd prefer it due to having a son rather than daughters .

We have an ADR for dinner at CRT, and we know there won't be the princesses running around, but it's just the 2 of us, no kids. We just want to go back for the experience of eating in the castle. Of course, the photos, frame, lithograph, package make it a little more worthwhile. If it were simply dinner and a meet 'n greet, I doubt we would be going.

I wasn't suprised when I called and the CM told me I would have to provide a credit card to secure the ADR. However, I was suprised when she later told me I would be charged in-full (including tax and tip). Almost $100 for 2 adults. My concern is that I will have the DDE card which is supposed to get me 20% off, but I was told that would have to be handled when I arrive and present the DDE card at check-in.

Anyway, we are looking forward to it... but still... $100 for 2 for dinner... wow... but hey, it's not V&A ($100 per person). :confused3

Oh, I forgot to mention, I booked this ADR yesterday for our upcoming trip in just a few weeks. None of the times I wanted for dinner were available the first week, but the CM finally found availability for 2 at 4pm on March 31st. So, I guess if you are flexible with your dates/times, you shouldn't have much trouble booking. I imagine the paying up front in-full and/or the 2 TS for the dining plan is a deterant for many.

We believe the new (much) higher prices are putting a lot of people off Cindy's this year. We have a heard a lot of unhappiness at what many people (ourselves included) see as price gouging. I know parents feel a lot of pressure to get Cindy's for their children, but there is really much better value at some of the other character meals.

Well we have gone 3 times in the past 2 years!

DH and DS have never gotten to eat in the castle but not sure if it is worth the money for them. And they'll want to come anyway to take pictures and see dd happy. But is that worth $100.00 additional for them?

I remember being disappointed visiting WDW as a young adult and just walking through the castle. It seemed it should be more of an experience. I had no idea there was a restaurant in it.

Thanks Disboards!

:goodvibes Hi Lynn (mumoftwo)! Well be there the same time as you! and we're eating in the castle for dinner on the 28th June :teeth: We're on the dining package so we're using 2 TS credits to eat there.. but hey why not?!

Hi just back today from Orlando ...we did the new CRT Breakfast and Epcot Princess Breakfast in Norway, last week so if you have any questions then please ask !

We enjoyed both, since our DD is the perfect age to enjoy this experience - though I wouldn't describe either as a culinary delight !

My one bit of advice would be to get the reservation for the CRT breakfast as EARLY as you can as ..

1) the photo shoot with Cindy can build up quite a queue.

2) the earlier you get out after the breakfast the more park time you have and we could walk onto most rides up to about 10.30am having got a 8.10am breakfast which took about an hour (even at that time there was a quarter of an hour queue to get your pictures with Cindy and it was MUCH longer when we left !).

3) it is wonderful taking pictures of the Main street and castle etc. with the park so empty.
