Hi I have managed to find a table for 8.30pm for the restaurant and wondered whether we would be able to view the fireworks from there or do they have an area where you can go to get a good view from.

Also it says children will get a princess wand as a present, I have 2 children 9 and 10 with us both real girlies but are both on adult dining plans as one aged 10 is classed as adult on dining plan and we would then have world war three if other daughter went on kids meals so upgraded her to adult meal allowance.

Many Thanks

You can't view Wishes from inside the castle. There are only a few very small stained glass windows which face the front of the castle.

I've seen reports of adults getting the wands and swords. I'm sure if they give it to one girl they'd give them to both.

Many Thanks for replies I didnt know if to buy one to take in for dd 2 as could see a situation occuring of one gets and another doesnt.

So I now know that you cant view from inside the castle but is there a ropped off area outside where we can view ??

I requested a sword for DH and a wand for me on our trip to CRT with the kids. I wanted them to set aside so when the first ones broke we had spares (or if they got dropped in the park or something). The waitress looked at me like I'd sprouted a giant eyeball (a la Mike W.)...but she DID give them to us. Not the most magical experience, but no matter your age I think you CAN get a wand or sword. You just have to run the humiliation gauntlet and dare to ask for them. :lmao:

Sorry, no ropped off area for viewing either.

In my opinion, the best viewing spots for Wishes are;

Bridge to Tomorrowland - Tinkerbell usually flies right over the bridge before the show begins.

Middle of Main Street USA

In Front of the Liberty Tree Tavern

Beach at the Grand Floridian - You don't have to be a guest at the Grand Floridian to access the beach.

I love that you admitted to that. No really I think its funny. But why not. I probably wouldn't but If I had kids I could see the logic plus your a princess right and he's your prince its all good.:rotfl2:

We went last year as a party of four adults and my fiance asked the waiter if I could have a wand after he saw me longingly looking at the table next to us... odd as it sounds the waiter looked relieved/happy and said he is never sure if he should ask with adults or not and promptly brought us two swords and two wands! Not that the fiance didn't end up regretting it since there was much poking of plastic at everyone for the rest of the night... Now they are decorating the spark grate on our fireplace! :wizard:

I have no pride. :lmao:

Seriously, though, you pay a fairly hefty price for the meal, so I don't think requesting they provide each member of the party with the gifts is unreasonable. Had they said no, I would have shrugged and thanked them for their time.

FWIW, We ended up with the wand and sword around the house until just a few months ago when the last one broke. Our trip was in January 2009, so the "extras" worked out well, and really prolonged the magic. :thumbsup2

You actually can see the fireworks from inside the castle. I was there in Sept and they dimmed the lights so you can see them better. Some of the fireworks go off right in front of the window. Granted, it's not the "standard" fireworks view, but it was amazing to sit back and eat dinner as the room was illuminated with the fireworks.

Depending on when the OP is going, the windows may be blocked...

From the Walt Disney World Website:

Reservations from Jan 11 - June 30, 2011: Due to a refurbishment of portions of the back side of Cinderella Castle taking place, elements of the restaurant will be refurbished and there will be themed window coverings that will not detract from your experience, but will block the view into Fantasyland.

Awe.... I still have my Wand from 2008 ! And I am 45 ! It is right at my makeup table so I can see it every morning when I am getting ready for work !

You better believe after spending so much on dinner... I'm gonna get a plastic wand !

I was casting (good) spells all day long after that dinner !

Hugs
Mary

PS: tempted to... but NO.... I did NOT turn anyone into a frog !:wizard:

Now yall have me wanting to ask for a wand for myself! I am such a girly girl princess LOL, I need that wand!!

I've watched the fireworks from inside the castle before, they did dim the lights so you could see it a bit, though it wasn't a very good view at all.

The windows actually face the back of the castle, towards the carousel.
