I have been stalking a reservation at CRT for weeks for my son's 3rd bithday. Suddendly a res for 2 popped up during a search,,, on his b-day at 4 pm!! However, there are 3 of us... two adults and one child. I took it anyway, hoping they would not turn us away. Is this foolish? Will they not seat the three of us if the reservation was for 2? I couldn't resist taking it since it was on his b-day and he has been talking about eating at "Mickey's castle" for months.
?????

(btw...he is NOT on the dining plan like we are - would this make a difference? I was told he could not get the dining plan because he wasn't charged admission b/c we arrive while he is still 2)

The way they book is by capicity and how many tables they have...they may have a table for 2 but not for 4....I know when I tried to add 1 child on to our ressies in Oct, they had none avaliable..couldnt understand how 1 4 yr old would make a difference and I was told it had to do with how many can be in resturant at a time. I wouldnt chance it..I would call ..maybe they can help you or you may try for a ressie of 1 or 4.

If the restaurant is full at the time you arrive, the third person will not be admitted. The ages of the people in the party is not relevant.

If you want to take the chance and one of the adults is okay with going elsewhere should it be necessary, keep the reservation, but I'd continue to try and look for a reservation that will fit your party.

It is a huge chance that they will not accept the extra person.

So I would decide right now if 3 isn't admitted then who is setting out (and is it so important that only 1 of his parents gets to eat with him at his "celebration dinner?).
To me I would think both parents eating would be better than 1. Will he understand mom or dad sitting out? Will it ruin his meal and him be focused on the parent not being there?

These are all questions you need to answer yourself.

Another thing, what if he throws a fit about it? It is a prepay meal, so it can't be refunded at that point. Are you willing to take him in even though he is distraunt about mom or dad not eating with him?
Or will you be willing to walk away to make him happy losing that money?

I understand the "desperation" trying to get the perfect meal for an occasion, but this isn't "any other restaurant" this is CRT and $$$.
The chance isn't worth it for me.

Hope things go well and you figure it out.

Thanks!! He would be happy as long as we are happy, and as long as we eat together, the rest doesnt matter. I will call them today and see if I can add one. If not I will cancel and keep trying!
