I have ADR's for April 16 and I wondered what was on the menu. The website is vague and seems to offer just a few of the selections, so my question is what did you have for lunch when you ate there?:confused3

When I was there a month ago the dessert was not the blueberry buckle. It was a chocolate cakelike thing with chocolate ice cream. It was good but I missed the blueberry thing. I think raseberry sorbet was another choice. My dessert was Very rich. The rest of the menu is the same as allears except for they did not have the minor demos on the childrens menu. I had the Major demos favorite pie it was quite good. The sandwich looked very good also.

When we were there this past summer there were only 3 choices for lunch. Unfortunately, the website is not being vague. That being said, the meal was not bad. The atmosphere and the princesses made up for what the meal may have lacked.

We've done this several times, both before and after it became a set price princess meal.

The food used to be great with choices like prime rib, delicious rolls, salads and several dessert choices. Not any more. The appetizer isn't worth the trouble -- a couple of pieces of cheese and a carrot stick or two. Prime rib is, of course, no longer available. Entrees are passable and desserts are a disappointment. There are no rolls.

Service used to be superb at lunch. Now it's run of the mill as they work to move people in and out quickly.

We still do it sometimes, though, because we enjoy the castle ambience and the princesses.

So -- my current ratings are:

Food = C-
Service = B
Castle Ambience = A
Princesses = A

Been twice in last year for lunch and one of our favorite stops.
Good service, good food, good atmosphere and a great break in middle of what is usually a long day.

Always get Major Domo Pie :thumbsup2

Thought appetizer was just enough and hit the spot. Love the BLT salad.

This was menu in Sept 07. I also miss the Blueberry buckle. After 10 days of Dining I was so over chocolate and apple desserts.

the food at lunch was better than I expected. The appetizer, as shown, is a BLT salad (very good), pesto chicken (good but I only take pesto in small doses) cheese, fruit and meat (mortadella?)

Between my wife and I we have had three of the entrees shown; the pork tenderloin, Major Domo's pie and the salmon. I listed them in order of my preference.

In 2006 the dessert was a blueberry buckle. In 2007 it was a chocolate buckle. In 2008 we can only look forward to new horizons in the buckle universe. (I have no idea what the dessert will be. The appy and entrees were the same both years.)

How are the kids meal choices at lunch? CRT will be our last meal after 8 days and I'm afraid mine will revolt if they are given institutional mac and cheese....
