This will be our first Disney Trip and we would like to go to CRT, but I am not sure which would be the best meal to go for? If princesses are really going to be there in the evening maybe dinner would be the best? Are there other princesses there for lunch as well? I feel so overwhelmed. I'm just so happy we are going to be at Disney but I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks so much!

I am pretty sure they have several princessess there for B, L or D. Double check with Disney when you call to book it., This is hard to get into so call asap. We went for a late lunch. I think our reservation was for 1:45. Some people like to get a reservation b4 the park opens to get an early start on your day. I did this for BB Boutique and it worked REALLY well. I f you have trouble getting a reservation, keep calling...someone might cancel and you can get their spot. If not, check into the other prncess dining expereinces.

As far as which is better, B, L or D...the main difference will probably be price...the earlier you go the cheaper it is. I thinkthe characters are all the same naow...teh Fairy Godmother no longer comes for dinner from what I hear about the changes they just implemeted. Have FUN!

I know I will probably be lucky to get any reservations, but I thought just in case I have options while looking at online reservation times it would be great to find out what works. We are doing the dining plan, so I think we are charged 2 meals no matter what time we go. With 3 young kids I don't know how well we would do with an early morning time slot, but if that's all we can get we may have to make it work. What time does their dinner slot start? Is it 4?

We've enjoyed lunch the last 2 times, but that was when they didn't have princesses at dinner. I'm the only b-fast lover in our family, so that never works for us, plus we like to spend our mornings hitting all the rides before the lines get too long.

They have a 3:55 time slot on a Saturday. That would actually work pretty well for us because we are an early dinner kind of family. If I do reserve it and change my mind how hard is it to switch ADR's?

Not difficult to switch ADR's at all...we do it all the time!

We've been to CRT for breakfast and it wasn't my favorite...I found it really rich and heavy and it kind of weighed me down for the rest of the day.

We like the princess meal at Akershus (Epcot) better, but of course it's not the castle. CRT was fine once, but dd (6) has never asked to go back and it doesn't seem to have made much of an impression on her either way. It helps too, that the Akershus meal is only one TS...I felt a little gypped having given up 2 credits for CRT.

BTW, I notice we'll be arriving at Disney 5 days after you!

We love the lunch at the castle. All of the princesses have been there when we've gone in the past and we've got the pictures to prove it! Jasmine, Belle, Cinderella (in the lobby), Snow White, Aurora and Fairy Godmother. It was almost overwhelming and difficult to eat with the constant visits! I know that they are doing the same princesses at dinner now, but I haven't been myself.

what fits your touring plans best. Since you are using the DDP the "cost" is the same to you for any of the three.

We have only done lunch, but have done that three times. Breakfast was not for us and, until just recently, the other princesses were not at dinner. We will now have to make a choice. My first thought is that it will remain lunch. Our daughter enjoyed doing BBB last year and lunch fit in for her to have a reasonable appointment time and some time in the MK all dolled up.

The princesses and/or leading ladies vary. In our three lunches we have had, besides Cinderella in the lobby, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Alice, the Fairy Godmother, Snow White, Jasmine and Mary Poppins.

We did a 2:25 lunch and it worked out great. She did the BBB in the AM and we had the lunch and she got to enjoy the day as a princess. It was a fun day :goodvibes

OP, I had the exact same question. My 180 day window is approaching and this will be our first time in the castle! I was thinking that dinner would be magical b/c the castle seems so magnificent at night all lit up. Plus, I do like to get to the rides early while it's not that crowded yet, so we tend to do breakfast in our hotel room. Since we're going in August, it's nice to take an AC break on a hot day so I think we'll be doing lunch or dinner. I'd actually prefer less characters so we're not as interupted, but I see we have no choice now. All meals have same characters. So, I guess the menu will decide it for us. I suggest you check the menus and see which food looks better to you!

Breakfast worked out very well for us, and here's why:

- Our ADR's were before the park opened. We were allowed to enter the MK before it opened, and were all alone walking and shopping on Main Street. That was cool because we felt like we owned the park!

- Great food at breakfast. All of the princesses were there, and since we were one of the first ones there, the interaction was great.

- Our meal ended about the time that the park opened. We were already in the park, so we were one of the first families in FantasyLand. We did everything in FantasyLand once or twice before 10:00 am.

So, breakfast worked out the very best for our family. Have a great time!

Do you remember what time your ADR was for? Thanks! I like the idea of walking down Main St. and taking pics w/o the crowds.

Sorry, I don't remember. It was 2005. It was summer, and I think the park opened at 9:00 am that day.

I would suggest making reservations for about 30 minutes before the MK opens. They have a special gate to let you in before the park opens.

We prefer the lunch and the dinner. The lunch is a nice break at midday and we love Major Domo's pie. DH prefers dinner - notably the lamb and prime rib.

We did the breakfast in October...Our ADR was for 8:20 (I think) and the park opened at 9...so we had a practically empty park, which was nice! However, we were not overly impressed with the food :confused3

Just looked up the description of Major Domo's Pie.....sounds delicious!!!!!!!! I think that's what I'll have!

Just got back yesterday and we ate at CRT twice during our stay. Once was breakfast before park opening on Valentine's Day and once was dinner our second to last night. They both had their good and bad points.

Breakfast: We were running late and thought we would miss the ADR. We had an 8:05 reservation and got there at 8:20. We didn't really get to enjoy walking down an empty Main St., but that was our fault because we were running to make the ADR. We got an awesome table (a window table overlooking Fantasyland) and our server was great. The food was good, but I felt like the meal was rushed (maybe because we were late?). There was no wait to take our picture with Cinderella and we got seated right away, which was great.

Dinner: Tried to check in early, but were told to come back closer to our ADR time. There were a lot of people waiting to take pics with Cinderella, so we had to wait. After we took our picture, we waited a good 15-20 minutes to be taken upstairs to be seated. Service and food was better at breakfast, but I definitely preferred the pace of dinner better. Also, Wishes was during our meal, and although we didn't have a window table, we were facing the window not too far away and could see some of the fireworks and they piped the music in. That was a priceless experience!

Courtneymarieclare: I just read this and have to ask... I have been trying desperately to find the breakfast menu since the change February 7. If you wouldn't mind, could you comment on that? When we went last year, they had a wonderful variety of traditional offerings. Eggs, awesome potatoes, sausage, bacon, etc... Just wondered if it was different now. I would really appreciate it!! :worship:
