Cinderella's Royal Table DDP and Out of pocket

SO i just booked my next trip and i have to do Reservations this weekend . We are going with my family and my sisters family (7 of us). I am just reading that you have to pay in advanced for this. Is this going to be hard to do with the 2 groups? My family does the Dining plan and my sister pays out of pocket.

Are we going to be able to reserve this for just 1 large party or are we going to have to do 2 reservations and just ask to sit next to each other?

I'm still new to this as this is only our 3rd trip.

If someone with the DDP attached to their reservation (so..you) makes the reservation then you won't have to pay up front for it even though there are people on the reservation without the DDP.
Just did this earlier this year for our September trip.

You can usually cover your entire party under (1) account with the DDP attached, however, does CRT book parties over 6? They used to, then they didn't... last year I ended up booking our party of 8 as 6/DDP and 2/OOP. There was plenty of availability, but nothing above parties of 6...

Btw - our reservation times were 1/2 hr apart and we were seated together.

Paid-DDP is not a good value at ANY character meal . . . OOP is always the better value.

The way I understand it, you can boo it u de your dining plan, but pay however you want.

That's really reassuring. We are a party of 9, going beginning of February and our ressies are 5 minutes apart. Fingers crossed.
