I was wondering what people's opinions are on the breakfast character dining. I am going to the world in January 2008 for 2 weeks with my inlaws, wife, and 2.5 year old daughter. She loves the princesses so we thought it was a must do.

We were able to get an ADR with out a problem...but I didn't like that you had to pay for it a head of time...but oh well.

Anyways, what are people's experiences and opinions were with this dining experience.

thanks.

We went in July 2006, and loved it. It is expensive, but it is a wonderful experience. We had Cinderella downstairs, and Belle, Snow White, Aurora, and Wendy upstairs. dd was 6, and in heaven. Each princess spent a good bit of time with us, and the food was delicious. We didn't even eat lunch that day. We had a 9am breakfast, then a 4:45 dinner at Crystal Palace, and it was more than enough food!

Sounds Great! I'm not overly concered about the cost since the whole idea is to start making memories for my daughter. She loves the princesses, so I think she'll love it and as long as the food is good, everyone else in our party will like it too....

I went in May 07 for my honeymoon/birthday. It was so nice we got the center table by the window looking over fantasyland. The princesses came to our table one by one. The breakfast was sooooooo good!!! loved the stuffed french toast yummy!! You will have a good time. They don't rush you either. Very nice restaurant. Have fun.

This is a must for us... my kids are older DD just turned 18 and DS is 14... and he even loves it....loves the food!!! The Princess tease him a little but he is good sport and has fun with it... Belle gave my DH a good "talking to" lst time....after all she is royalty and he isn't.... lots of fun even for adults.....we love the food

Very Interesting, the only things I've heard up until now are all along the lines of "its very expensive and not worth the money"

I booked it solely because I figured my daughter would enjoy seeing all the princesses on her first trip to WDW...but from what I'm seeing here it seems like it is going to be a truely memorable experience and WELL worth the money.

at least I hope it will be ;)

It isn't something I'd do every time, but I'm so glad we did it once. Last year was our first WDW trip, this year we are doing 1900 with Cinderella (8 days! ), and hopefully next year going back with my sister and nephew and we'll do Akershus. But the castle is just magical.

Now I'm rethinking my plan of skipping CRT. Argh. I've spoken to 2 completely different and unrelated people IRL who have been to both CRB and the Akershus princess meal and both have said that CRT was horrible and the Epcot meal was much better. Both stated the reason being that Cindy was only in the lobby and the other princesses didn't spend much time at each table - not even enough for pictures. They didn't personally autograph any books; they just passed out papers with their autographs. Now, both of these women I spoke to offered that info without any prompting by me and they both went at totally different times. One just went at the beginning of October and the other has been there each year for the last 6. She said they go to CRT each year and they have never had a good experience. The next time, they will not go to it.

At least some people have had good experiences.

:confused3 I don't know anything about passing out sheets of paper with their autographs? They each signed my kids' books and spent a long time with us. The food was delicious. It was very classy-we took my mil and she was very impressed!

We have never had anything short of a wonderful experience, we are doing both Princess breakfasts this time, have never done the Norway one before. Our last trip was two years ago and the Princesses definitely signed our books and posed individually with each of my daughters and then with my boys. Belle is my daughter Zoe's favorite and when she came around she sat on the floor with her in her lap and talked with her and hugged her, Zoe was in heaven.
My boys love the food too, they insisted we go back this time, I wasn't sure since we were doing the Norway breakfast, but I caved. That said, it is expensive, but the memories are worth it, for us.

We were there Sep 07 for my DD's birthday (8th). It was very relaxing. DD got a birthday card and the princesses signed both the card and her book and talked with us and posed for pics. The food was good and the service was excellent and in theme. When you walk in, put your watch away, because time doesn't matter there. We arrived at 9:00, but I have no idea when we left. Afterwards, you walk out into Fantasyland and the magical tone is set for the rest of the day.

We always enjoy it! The kids love the food and DH and I love the cream cheese stuffed french toast!

breakfasts numerous times and love em both, Im a pro photog so the photo pkg isnt necessary or wanted, therefore we usually do Norway one, food and chats have been phenomonal at each instance with Princess'. Go, eat and enjoy your very own lil Princess!;)

We had lunch at CRT and breakfast at Norway. Both are a lot of fun for any girl who loves a princess. If I had to rate them, I would have to say that CRT wins by location alone. I would imagine getting to be in the park so early before it is crowded must only add to the magic. The same princesses were at the lunch and the food was delish. We had a table by the window overlooking Tink's Treasures on my DD's 5th birthday. As others have said, its a memory I will have forever and I really don't remember what the cost was. I say go for it!!

I agree...we did CRT in Sept '06 with my then 18-month-old twins. We waited almost an hour to have our picture taken with Cinderella. We were starving...the kids were so bored and restless waiting in that terribly slow-moving line. It got to the point where it wasn't worth it to wait for the photo-op with Cinderella. I asked a CM if we could bypass the photo, and just go upstairs, and she said no, that the table wouldn't be ready...there was a certain order. So we waited, and the picture, of course, turned out horrible because none of us were happy. When we finally got upstairs, we were trying to get DS and DD strapped into their hi-chairs, and the princesses were on top of us like rapid fire -- one after the other. I was scrambling to get my camera out, and the pictures turned out awful...it's a semi-pro camera, and I didn't have time to adjust it to the conditions. The food was good, the service was Ok.

In May '07, we took the advice of a friend who referred us to the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway, and it was 100 times better. We waited outside for 10-15min. When our name was called, and they guided us in to have our picture taken with Belle, I thought, "Oh no! Here we go again! Another long line!" Not at all! Belle was right there, and we walked right up to her, and the photographer got great shots of DD and Belle. We were seated, and had plenty of time to get settled before the princesses came to our area. It just seemed much more organized...as if they rotated the sections. When we sat down, our section was almost completely empty...all the tables were clean and set. We must've been one of the first ones in our section...it slowly filled up, and then the princesses made their way in. They moved at a comfortable pace around the room...not one on top of the other as we experienced at CRT.

Overall, PSB was a much more pleasant and relaxed experience. Food was good, and service was terrific...very attentive to the children's needs. Until the day comes when DD specifically requests eating in the castle, it will be PSB for us.

My kids were 2 and 5 their first visit. They both loved it (including my DS) both kids want to go there again this trip. DS (10) just likes the castle atmosphere and DD who is 7 still likes the princesses. We were lucky enough to get an ADR for upcoming trip on Chrismtas morning.
DD was 2 her first visit. She dressed like Cinderella and loved it. I have some really cute pics of her with Cinderella too. Wonderful experience. If you were able to get ADR, go for it.

it think it was the most tasty breakfast. We had the best waiter we could have got. You should go there, it truly is the best place to eat. For us it was worth the money:goofy: :thumbsup2

We went in Oct, it was wonderful. Cinderella was downstairs and we had Snow White, Belle, Mary Poppins and the Fairy Godmother upstairs. We thought the food was delicious and the memories were so worth it. My son loved the wishing ceremony and loved how all the princesses called him a little prince. :upsidedow
