I was finally able to get a reservation for cinderella's royal table next week-- at 9:30 pm. I'm a little worried this might be a little late for my 8 year old, but I've been trying for weeks to get anything at all at this restaurant (it's her birthday next week).

Will we be able to see fireworks during the meal? Is there anything I need to know about getting to the castle that late; should I be behind the castle a lot earlier so that we don't have to battle through parade/fireworks crowds? Anything else it would be helpful to know?

Thank you for any help offered. It's our first time at Cinderella's Royal table.

9:30 is a little late if you'll be going strong since first thing in the morning but it's a good time b/c so there is so much to do and a late night can accommodate that. you might want to make it a late day, or take an afternoon break, and relax, or take a nap if you/she can. that way the likelihood of anyone being cranky for dinner will be low. the fireworks start at 10 (but check the calendar just in case i'm wrong). you should be in the castle by then but you could be getting photos, or not near a window. you might want to go a little early just to check in an hope you can get upstairs and seated by 9:30. the queue for pictures and whatnot has always held us up a bit. you guys should love it though. it should be a really nice time! hope she has a super magical birthday!

I think it can work if your daughter is the type of child who can handle changes in schedule once in a while. You should sleep in as late as possible that morning, though. The CRT windows are not a good bet for seeing Wishes, unless you're lucky enough to be seated right next to them- even then, I don't know if the angle is right. So I would do Wishes another day. Have your daughter wear her birthday button next week!

Do you know about the special occassion desserts?! We got the chocolate crown for my DS birthday and they have a chocolate glass slipper too. They will personalize the plate with "Happy Birthday Prince/Princess (name)!" It was about $15 extra including tax and tip and well worth it for a special occasion. Call (407) 824-4477 and leave your e-mail and they will send it to you but they need about 72 hours notice. I ordered it all via e-mail and just paid for it there. Hope she has a happy birthday!

Our first time at CRT was in 2014 at 9:30 which we all had originally preferred earlier, but after trying for so long, we decided since it was a XMagicHour Day it could work out well and it did. I must add my daughters were 15 and 20. We were seated at the window and watched the fireworks, they were beautiful, afterwards, it had rained while we were eating and we had the park almost to ourselves until after 1am. It was a great night. I would keep trying though, I cancelled one at 8:30 yesterday morning, so people cancel all the time. We went in the park around 7pm and walked right in to character meet and greets at the front of the park, so it was a very successful evening. Good Luck!

Yes! Cancelations! I always check up until 24 hours before my reservation and usually get lucky!

Thank you to everyone for your advice!

I'll keep checking for an earlier time and if not, we'll be sure and have s break at the hotel the day.

If I luck into s cancellation on the website, do I mAke that reservation and then cancel the 930 pm one?

That's what I do, secure the new reservation before canceling the old one. Sometimes they disappear quickly and sometimes there is a glitch and you can't get it confirmed. Never cancel the old until the new one is secure that way you don't lose both :)

I was able to get a lunch reservation, so I just canceled the 930 pm reservation.

Thank you so much for the help. I think this will work a little better for us.
