Cinderella's Chocolate slipper to go

I'm really undecided if I want to order a cake or anything for my DD's 8th Birthday. We'll be eating breakfast at CRT and dinner at the Crystal Palace, and then staying to watch Wishes at 10 pm (in April). I'm sure that she'll be stuffing herself silly at both meals, and I think that a surprise cake may be a bit much, however, I'm slightly tempted to get the chocolate slipper at CRT - I'm sure she could at least manage the mousse...

Would they be willing to box up the rest of the slipper for her to eat later? and also, would I really want to carry around the slipper until our afternoon break back at our resort? (we will have a double stroller)

Or are the 2 meals a big enough treat for a girl's birthday, and just let her pick out a nice dessert at the bakery?!

I also though of doing the Wishes Dessert Party that day, but having a 3rd adr may be a bit too much, especially for her little brothers (12mos & 3), and she wants to see the parade. It'll be the only day we stay late in MK

2 meals is a lot. I think you might be better off letting her pick out a small souvenir, something that isn't food. Or what about a special drink? They have the fairy punch with the light up tinkerbell, that isn't so filling AND you get to keep the cup and the light.

I agree! Another option would be to order it another night (i.e. last night at MK) so you all have something to look forward to.

The temps are typically in the 80's in April so I don't think carrying the leftover slipper would be a good idea.

Thanks. I think I'll skip the slipper, and I do like the idea of a souvenir. Can you get the light-up tinkerbell at Character buffets? It'll be my daughter's actual birthday and she really wants to do both meals to celebrate her birthday, so maybe I'll talk her into doing Crystal Palace the next day for lunch.

I'm starting to also wonder if 2 in one day is too much anyway, because her younger brothers might be over-tired by then, so maybe it's okay to celebrate an extra day.

All 3 of my kids have March/April birthdays, so we're only going to have 3 ADRs (Princesses, Pooh & Donald/Mickey) so I guess it wouldn't hurt to have them all on 3 different days, even though the obsessive planner in me wants to get them all over and done with as quickly as possible so that we can be a bit more flexible for rest of our time (even though I'm looking forward to them just as much as the kids are! :) ) - my DS who will be 3 by the time of our trip tells people every single day how is going to 'eet Pooh, so the CP meal will probably mean the most to him (he can't say 'meet' yet LOL)

And good to know that it could be a bit hot in April. We had snow up here on my daughter's birthday this year (it was her wish come true) ;) and I'd hate to buy her something that might not even resemble a slipper by the time she can enjoy it! ;)

You can't get the Tinkerbell and Friends punch at the character meals, but at most other non-buffet TS restaurants you can. Also bars (at your hotel??? They had one at Saratoga). I would bet you could ask to purchase one from somewhere like The Plaza and not have to eat there to get it.

We got the special cup (Cars for DS and Tink for DD) at both Garden Grill in Epcot and 1900 Park Fare Dinner at Grand Floridian. Both are character meals and 1 is a buffet. You just pay extra for them as they are not included in the meal price.
