cinderellas castle ...... yum or yuck

Although we found the food mediocre at best, we love the experience and eating inside the castle. Have adrs for our upcoming trip!!

oh my! Seems 50/50 Im so torn as what to do? I was thinking my DH and I would end up eating the Roasted Beef Tenderloin anyone have that recently? Im so torn! Atleast I have a few months to ponder!

If I could offer my opinion, maybe it will help.

It sounds to me like you really want to try it. There have been good reviews and bad reviews. But you will never know if YOU will like it until YOU try it. If it's not worth it to you, then just don't go back. But at least you tried it. I ate there once and thought it was really neat. Can't say it was my favorite meal ever, but I would go back again. There's only one place in the world where you can have dinner in Cinderella's Castle so why not just try it? I definitely think it's worth doing at least once. Don't fret about it, just go and enjoy yourself!

The food is average. The specific menu has changed since we were there, but we really enjoyed the rolls and our salads, and found the entrees and dessert just ok. If you have never eaten in the castle before, I'd say it is worth doing once. But for repeat visits, unless the princesses are the draw, it's not worth it. We did it once before they added the princesses to dinner and have no plans to go back as long as every meal there is a character meal.

We've dined, at Cindy's, many times, over the years. The decline began, once they abandoned, the à la carte menu. We still dine at the Castle, mostly for sentimental reasons. The food is good, but not great.

BTW..I hate, it's all "Princesses 24/7". I preferred dining with the Fairy Godmother, Jaq and Gus!

FWIW..gratuity and a photo package are included in the price.

We had lunch here in August 2009 with free dining. We were actually surprised that the food was pretty good. Our waiter was awesome. The princesses were great. (Our kids ages ranged 7-15 at that time - 3 girls and 1 boy.) Would we do it paying OOP? Probably not. But the food was good, and I think everyone should eat in the castle at least once.

We eat at CRT every time we go (15 trips, in the last 8 years) and we always go at lunch. I think we had one not so great experience there but that was mainly due to the princesses not wanting to spend time with a table full of adults.
Every other time it's bee spot on. As for food, it's very good. And we eat internationally so we have a lot to compare to.

DH just reminded me we went to dinner once when it was just the 2 of us, I would never do dinner again. Stick with lunch!

we've done CRT twice...first experience- food was pretty yum/service avg... second experience- food beyond yuck  service horrible and the a/c dripped on us all meal. Our server's reply was "well, it's FL and it's summer- so the a/c drips." UNACCEPTABLE! The food this meal was yucky to begin with- but it made it even less appetizing having the a/c drip all over us and into our food. My shoulders were drenched by the end of the meal. The service was also so slow that the meal took nearly 2 hours. I will say that our first experience definitely had a much more magical feel and since it was our first time in the castle- I don't think even bad food could have ruined that moment, but we were also there for the character interaction and that was my priority. Of course our first visit to CRT was also lunch (2nd was dinner) and I've heard that makes a difference. So, you may want to skip the castle if you're looking for a better meal. CRT is certainly not signature for its food quality and service...i.e. it appears to be strictly the atmosphere.
