Cinderella's Breakfast

We have breakfast with Cinderella next Friday morning. We are at Wilderness Lodge. We will boat from the lodge to the castle in MK. What is the next step? Need advice from someone that has done this..thanks

Based on our trip in May of '01......

Is your PS before the park opens or right as the park opens? If so, they won't let you through the gate before official opening (even if that's what they told you on the phone.) However, it works out okay. You can ask at the gate & they'll direct you, but you just proceed from the gate directly to the castle. There is an entrance under the arch in the middle of the castle. At opening there are a number of CMs just standing there & they're looking for "lost looking" guests. After opening there won't be as many, but they should still kind of be obvious.

The general rule of thumb is that you will visit with the Fairy Godmother while waiting for your PS. Our seating was right at opening - so they told us to come back after we ate. At that point, the line was pretty long because of all the people who were showing up & waiting for seating PLUS all of us who'd been there at the beginning. It was worth it, though! I got pix of DD (11) in her Cindy gown AND one with DD, DS & his fiance (both 21). Priceless photos!

PS We love the Wilderness Lodge! We stayed there in '99 & really had a great time. On our last trip we stayed at AKL & everyone really missed taking the boat over to MK. What a way to start or end your day! Make sure you check out the geyser & water parade in the evening. Cool!

When we have PS for prior to park opening, there is usually a CM or two with a clipboard---they verify your name is on the list and let you through the turnstiles marked CM entrance. Has this changed?

I wondered about that. We were assured (on the phone) that this is what would happen. Our PS was for the exact time that the park was to open for early entry. (Maybe that's the difference??) We had asked about it because I need to use a wheelchair in the parks & we were concerned about getting that far in zero minutes. Anyway, the CM at the gate was quite rude about it. We asked if her supervisor was available & he gave me the same story..."NO ONE gets in before official opening." However, a tour group (something to do with the train) got in early as did a few other people who walked into the park - not part of the group.

We had a super time anyway & were just glad they didn't give away our PS time.
