I don't care for Cinderellabration at all. It is such a poor show, no catchy music, no appeal for little boys at all. A cast member told us in August that Bob Iger had just been down and he didn't like it either. I understand that in Tokyo it is only performed at night. Well, maybe that makes it a little better, but I doubt it. What has happened to all those great live shows they used to do on stage with the Kids of the Kingdom???!!! I really loved "Magic Mickey Mouse" - I think that was for the 10th anniversary of the MK. Oh, well, wish they would listen to us fans! Hopefully it will be gone soon after the Happiest celebration on earth. By the way, I won't say who, but one of the Main Street "actors" one day during Cinderbarfabration (as my nephew calls it) turned toward the castle and yelled "turn it down, the homely thing, they crown her every day"!! Very Funny!

I too am not a fan of the show. I lived in Japan 10 yrs and can see where they would like it because it is all about presentation. I personally like all song and dance numbers from years past.

Have to say I'm surprised to hear this. I have not seen it but thought it looked really cute. Interesting...

I just got back (today) and I liked it! Hmm - a princess show without boy appeal. What a novel concept. Maybe we could have a villain hit on one of the princesses. The show is fine.

My dd is a big princess fan, but she wasn't very interested in it. Too much hoopla. She likes the one on one of a meet and greet much better.

I saw it with my dd's 8 and 10 and we were dissapointed. It wasn't bad but we were not interested in seeing it again. The prior show however, was a must do every MK day for both dd's.

There are no "Fab 5" Characters (a MAINSTAY of Castle shows).
But if that's not enough to warn you off...

1. No villains, So...
2. No conflict, So...
3. No story arc, So...
4. No "happy ending" is possible (another MAINSTAY of Castle Shows).

Disney is usually ALL ABOUT "STORY".
Cinderellabration is all about... not much.
Not a Disney-Quality presentation.

If you really get jazzed over the plot-lines of Teletubbies, at the pace of the Barney show, THIS is the castle show for you!

Cinderellabration is simply a "motion diorama" of the princesses and their princes.

The simple daytime fireworks (just a couple) at the conclusion are nice, but you can see them from about anywhere in the MK.

My parents and grandparents made a point to see it and thought it was just not up to par with previous shows. They used to like eating outside at Cosmic Ray's and catching glimpses of Peter Pan and Captain Hook fighting on the side of the castle...That was a great show with a lot of varied characters and different things going on. This show (though I personally decided I wasn't interested and decided not to watch) has a more narrow approach and appeal.

I too miss the kids of the kingdom! The shows on the Tommorowland stage were always fun too!

No need to be snotty. Cinderella's Surprise Celebration wasn't "girly" - it featured Cinderella, but had alot of other characters like Mickey, Donald and Chip and Dale, ect...and it was a more "fun" type show so it appealled to everyone, boys and girls.

I didn't think Cinderbrellation was that great for all the hype. I don't know what it is. My niece LOVES the princesses, but she didn't have an interest in this show. We only saw it once and even when I asked she didn't want to stop and watch it again. I don't think it's upbeat enough and the songs really aren't that great or not up to par with Disney at least.

Not sure what you mean by a novel concept. The last show "Cinderella's Surprise Celebration" had princess appeal but also did have much wider appeal. Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Shan Yu, Genie, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, the Wicked Queen, Chip, Dale, Donald Duck. There was a lot more to that show than fairy tales.

This one has boys running for cover out of embarrassment at any chance of being seen watching it.

DD5 didn't much care for it, either, and she loves everything princess.

A CM in the barbershop told us it was better at night because the lighting was varied to help the story... We didn't catch it at night, but I would imagine it couldn't hurt...

We saw it right when it came out - the end of last April - and DW loved it. Me - not so much....

i totally agree....this one is a total waste of time and space..

the only good thing about it? During busy times it pulls crowds, so the lines at buzz lightyear tend to lighten up for a little while..

the worst thing about this show is the canned singing......ugh....how can they used canned singing????
one of the things we love about WDW shows are the singers....
where is the quality of Hunchback of Notre Dame (where the singers were unbelievable)...

canned singing....geez....i don't have to go to WDW to see people lipping words....

To me, the show was only ok. My 2 (almost 3) year old daughter was completely and totally captivated! She loved it. The look on her face as each of the princesses came out was pure joy - almost made me cry it was so sweet. We actually watched it start to finish two seperate times and the one time we blew past it she almost had a fit. Mind you, this is a child who will not sit still to watch a movie on TV or for just about anything but she absolutely adored and sat still for this show! To each their own!

My family has always LOVED Cinderella's Surprise Celebration. On our last trip we witnessed Cinderelleabtration with an open mind. It was a total bust as far as we are concerned. For many of the reason listed rearlier in this thread we are counting the days until the end of the HCOE so they can bring back the Surprise Celebration. Meantime, I am sure all the preteen girls are digging Cinderellabration. The rest of us are missing something.

I couldn't agree more. This show was a huge disappointment. Not up to Disney Standards at all. Talk about lack of appeal for boys: My DS4 was sitting on the ground with his back to it and his head in the stroller seat :rotfl: !!!!! It IS just a showcase of all the princesses, not really a show. Have been more impressed in the past with the castle shows. DD9 and DD6 didn't want to watch it again when given the opportunity and weren't impressed. Needs a liitle Disney magic :wizard:

IMHO the show is boring. The Kids of The Kingdom got cut a few years back. We were out there for their last peformance. Tons of ex Kids turned up, and it was very emotional.

I read these boards daily and that is BY FAR the funniest thing I have read in a while! Thanks for starting my day with a good laugh!!! :wave2:

:hi
i thought it was poor too. the content was tedious and the dresses looked tired and in need of a good wash and iron, like they were from a fancy dress shop not disney costuming.
