Cinderella is coming!

I just noticed this morning that Cinderella will be re-released as a platinum DVD on October 2nd! We're super excited since this is our DD3's favourite movie and our old VHS tape is nearly worn out, but its also the last day of our upcoming Disneyland trip.
Does anyone know if they ever do special events in the park for these DVD releases? I'm expecting lots of Cinderella merchandise to be out while we're there, but has there been other special events in the past for big movie releases? Where would be a good place to look for upcoming announcements?

It wasn't an event, but when Beauty and the Beast came out (2010?) there were reports of Belle and the Beast BOTH being out for meet-and-greets, maybe around the castle? Of course, Beast was in the name of the film so that might be a little different.

My kids would be thrilled to see Cinderella and the prince together! Didn't they also have some of the mice available for greeting at some point? And the Fairy Godmother would be a hit with them too! Here's hoping!

We saw fairy god mother at Minnie and friends breakfast last year, and I've read on here that the mice are at the Chip n Dale breakfast. My kids loved fairy godmother. She spent a lot of time visiting with them, and she was the only one at the character breakfast that talked!
