Cinderella Hairdo

We are heading to WDW first part of March and will be doing Cinderella's Breakfast for dd 4th birthday. My wife is wondering if anyone has ever gotten their little girl's hair done somewhere at wdw that is like Cinderella's hairdo. Our little girl will be wearing her Cinderella dress.

Any suggestions?

I don't know about getting her hair done like Cinderella, never looked into it. But I know I have seen Cinderella wigs on disneydirect.com. I think they might even have them in the parks too.

Umm, I would look for a wig, If you do find someone to do it, they would prolly need to put a ton of hair spray and chemicals in her hair.

I suggest going to a hair stlyist, bring with you photo of CInderella, and have the stylist do the "up do". I did the for my daughter for Christmas, she too is 4 and she looked aborable. She was able to keep the hairdo for about 3 days. She asked if she can get it again for her Dinner w/. Cindy, I said no because I don't want to see her crushed when it will get ruined in the pools. As far as the wig, she had the Disney Cinderella wig for Halloween and it weighted what seems to be 5 pounds, just too heavy for her long slender neck

You could possibly fashion a bun of sort and use a blue ribbon headband. Depending on how fine her hair is and how long there is actually a couple of easy up-do's you could fashion yourself with a rubberband and bobby pins that are easy for anyone. Having the blue ribbon headband will be what really tops it off. This way you won't spend a lot of money and she won't have to worry as much about it getting ruined.

I have a friend who is as fanatical about ANYTHING Disney,as I am. Her DD who is 4,dressed up as Cindy for Halloween, and she did her DD's hair herself. It was gorgeous. She looked so demure and sweet. Maybe if you practice a few times, who knows? Good luck! :thewave:

Of course I have pictures, what self respecting Mother of Cindy wouldn't Unfortunately, I am unable to post because of my "earning my ears" status and two, I refuse to give up my wonderful 35mm Nikon and enter into the digital camera age.

I did DD's hair in a bun with a ribbon around it, everyone commented on how she really looked like Cinderella. A wig wasn't necessary as her hair is blonde. An easy way to make a bun is to put hair in a high ponytail, braid the ponytail and twist it around securing with bobby pins. I do this for dance recitals and it lasts all night.

We did something similar for my DD7 for her Halloween Cinderella costume. The costume came with a ribbon but I bought wide head band and used a glue gun to put the ribbon on the head band. Had to use 2 layers of ribbon though so the head band didn't show through. Then I put her hair in a bun (had lots of practice with this for dance recitals) and voila Cinderella! If your daughter has long hair all you need is a bit of gel in wet hair and a bit of hairspray and some bobby pins. Easy enough to do yourself probably. Good luck.
