I was able to book Cinderella Royal Table for dinner but not for breakfast. Do most of the little girls dress up?

I would dress my daughter up but I'm concerned it will be too hot for her to wear that dress all day. I don't want to be carrying it around all day either. If most of the girls don't dress up then I won't have to worry about it. Suggestions? By the way, she's 6 so we don't have the convenience of the stroller anymore.

A lot of little girls dress up regardless of whether they eat at CRT or Cape May Cafe. I would imagine that you'll get several little girls who are dressed up, and just as many who aren't dressed up. Honestly, I wouldn't want to carry that dress around all day, either; and I can't imagine that it wouldn't be downright hot! On the other hand, we saw a lot of little girls at WDW walking around in their princess dresses.

Here's an alternative: Inside Norway, right outside of Akershus, is a store that sells tiny tiara for $10. They're the perfect size that - if you pull her hair up into a high pony tail or a bun - you can stick in her hair and she'll at least have the crown. I did that for my 13 year old and, surprisingly, she thought that was really cool. She's too old to dress up, but she thought that was really neat that I'd buy her a tiny tiara.

Just something to consider...

My DD will be almost 5 when we go there in December and we are having dinner at 4:45. I am taking her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique beforehand and letting her get dressed there. When I called to make the reservation, they told me that I could bring her dress in earlier in the day with her name marked on it and they would put it in the back for her to put on when she gets there. We are going in Dec. and hopefully it won't be too hot by then, though.

Alternatively, you could just buy the dress in the park before you go in? Or put yours in a locker and go get her dressed right beforehand? I have never been to CRT, but I would imagine that most little girls do dress up. There was not a doubt in MY DD's mind that she was dressing up, at least...but...she's a very dress up kind of girl. We are doing CRT, Akershus, and the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare and I expect she'll want to dress up for all of them. Just for the fact that you'll be getting her picture taken w/ Cinderella at CRT, you might want to?

BTW- we used a stroller when my son was 6!! He still couldn't walk as fast as the grownups and got tired and though he didn't use it nearly as much as he would have when he was younger, it still was great for carrying things, and for times when he really started dragging. I'm seriously considering getting one for us on this trip.

Hope some of this helps!

My DD5 dressed up for dinner at CRT, but then again she has been known to wear a Cinderella dress under her T-Ball uniform. We were there at the end of May, and she wore one of her dresses five out of the seven days, so it was not just a CRT event. While she was warm, it was worth it to her.

To answer your question, however, I'd say that about 25%-33% of the girls her age were dressed up in princess dresses, with a precipitous drop for those appearing to be around 7 or so. So your daughter would not be the only one not dressed up, but she will see plenty of girls in dresses.

We went to CRT for lunch when my DD was 4. It was August and I was amazed at how many girls are dressed in their costumes. During lunch I would say about 1/3 of the children were dressed up, many from BBB. My daughter chose to wear a cute sun dress with the princesses on it. We simpled rolled it up and kept it in the small back pack we had along. I think your daughter will be fine not wearing a costume and not be out of place. Put her hair in a bun and add glitter from home and she'll look like she had her hair done at BBB too.princess:

She could wear the dress for the meal, then change into another outfit for the rest of the day. There are lockers that you can put stuff in, so you could store the dress there until you leave the park.

That biddibi ...boutique sounds interesting. Let me look into that.

If not, I like the idea of the lockers.

thanks for the replies.

Great idea about the lockers, and also that you might get to leave a dress at BBB upon entering the park. In December, we are planning BBB at 5:30 and then dinner at CRT at 7:15, so that will hopefully work out great!! Thanks so much! princess:

Edit: Princesses are at every meal, but it used to be different at dinner time.

Whether you want to dress your daughter in costume is up to you. I like the idea others have about storing the costume in a locker when not in use.

If you wanted the princesses, I believe they only circulate at breakfast and lunch. I mention this because last I heard, Cinderella might greet you at the atrium before you're seated, but the Fairy Godmother and the mice do a show and leave.

I'm not sure if that's changed, but I wanted to mention this in case you booked dinner thinking you'd get to see the princesses that visit the tables during breakfast and lunch.

All three meals now have the princesses, dinner included.

We are going in August and I'm too concerned about dd being very uncomfortable in the heat. I'm planning on bringing a tiara from home and doing her hair up myself. I also thought that I'd get her and ds's face painted (they do princess themes) so at least she will feel like she got some special treatment, too. I might even bring them in to the Barber shop where for $7.50 they can get their hair streaked and have sparkles put in them.

Bibbdi Bobbidi Botique is a lot of fun to do, my Mom planned it as a surprise for me for when we were there for the Pirate and Princess party with my Aunt. I dressed as Cinderella and got a wave from her, but because it was at night, I wasn't as hot. The dress was still VERY itchy.

As for CRT, yes, a whole lot of the girls dress up. Even if you don't dress her up, a small tiara is nice for a girl of any age. My Mom purchased one just before we went for the PAPP and it was very pretty. I still have it and wear it on some occasions.

I don't think it is a good idea to dress her up, because even if she's not hot, I GURANTEE she will complain about how itchy the dress is. I know I was, and I hear several other little princesses who do too!

I small tiara is all she needs, because with that and the wand she'll get, she can still be a princess!

We ate lunch there last month for lunch and every little girl had on a princess costume of some kind!

This is super helpful to know, they didnt mention this when i made ours. I made dd's to wear and knowing it will already be there also makes me think it might help with the fact that we aren't buying the dress there (which would probably be her preference)

We always bring our DDs dresses and put them in a locker and we get changed about 30 minutes before our ADR. They would be too hot with their dresses all day and would complain too much LOL

DD was 5 when we went to CRT for breakfast. She wore an inexpensive Sleeping Beauty costume with her shorts under it on her princess tennis shoes on. After the meal, she wore the dress for a couple of rides, then I took her to the restroom to put on her shirt. I shoved the dress in the backpack & we were off! My sister took her 2 girls to CRT in December & they were 6 & 8. They wore "Disney outfits"(shirt, leggings, & "tutu") but not a princess dress.
