If you have gone to Cinderella's castle for Breakfast or Lunch.. Have your girls (or boys) dressed up in costumes for it? My girls really want to dress up in the princess dresses for CRT and I'm not sure if this is something that everyone does or not? Thanks.

When we went in Feb there were a lot of little girls coming out in princess dresses.

It's certainly not required by any means, but many kids do dress up. I'd say whatever your kiddos want to do will be fine.

Thanks! They really really (did I mention REALLY) want to dress up. They even tell random strangers at school when we are waiting to go in the school. I'm happy they are so excited about it. It is going to be the best trip ever. :cool1:

Deffinately have your children dress up as they will get a professional picture taken with cinderella (you get a 8 X10 i think it is and 4 4X6's to keep). Also for the little girls they give them princess wands and little boys get swords. Plus you will get a chance to get pictures with many other princesses!!! They make for some great photos and momentos!!!

How much is the Cinderella breakfast? I would think that it's a good idea to bring your kid there, it's not everyday that they can feel special.

When I did a test reservation it was 295.00 for us. That includes the tip and it is for 3 Adults, a 13, 6, 5, and 3 year old. So depending on your family size... Probably way less than that. I think the adult tickets are around 40.00, I'm not sure about the kids. We are going to have the DDP and use 2 TS credits for the meal, so I didn't really pay much attention to how much they were.

we went to the other Cinderella dinner and my daughter wore a cinderella dress that my mom made for her.. she felt so special.. she wanted to wear it the next day to the park but I said no.. too hot (80s) and would probably get ruined in the park..

Yeah, I don't think that I would let them wear the dresses in the park. Just to the breakfast. I think it is 75-85 degrees during the time that we are going, and coming from below freezing temps it is going to seem warmer I'm sure.

I do the Cinderella breakfast every year and while the food is nothing to write home about, the experience if fabulous. My DD5 loves, loves, loves it and she dresses up in a princess outfit every time. I even chose the breakfast as my birthday celebration meal when I was there for my 30th birthday . It is expensive, but I feel it's worth it. We now do the DDP so we use that to do the breakfast.

that day I saw so many bipity bopity kids, it was crazy.... I couldn't imagine spending that cash and letting the kids ruin it through the park...

Only way I'd let my kids do that is if I shrink wrap their heads to preserve teh hair and makeup

I say if they really want to wear them in the park, let them. Where else can they dress like a Princess out in public. Just bring a change of clothes in case they change their mind. Also, draw the line at the shoes-- you will see many little Princesses in tennis shoes at WDW. Although I didn't plan on DD wearing her costumes in the park, on DD's 1st trip, she wore her Cinderella dress to the Princess meal the second day of our trip and got so much special attention that she refused to take it off the rest of the trip. That dress could stand by itself by the time we got home! (I did get her to wear Minnie one day instead). On DD's 2nd trip, she mostly wanted to wear dresses only (not pants or shorts), but not costumes (the exception was CRT where she wanted to wear her Jasmine costume and left the top and crown on with a skirt instead of the pants the rest of the day). I kind of missed the fun of her being dressed up. Enjoy it while you can!

My DD4 is going to BBB prior to our CRT lunch ressie...so she will be completely glammed up. She has a gorgeous Belle dress that was made for her. She is soooooo excited! I say if your DD(s) want to dress up like a princess(es)...DO IT! Remember in the beginning there is the photo op with Cinderella and it would look gorgeous having your DD(s) dressed up to pose with Cindy. Have a wonderful trip!!

BTW, it is my understanding that the BBB hairdo's last a very long time...so I'm not worried about spending the money and walking around the parks. I may draw the line at the dress though...depends on weather and how hyper she is...

i personally (DW included) care for the BBB hair... reminds me too much of those ladies selling the wigs in the mall... Only with tons of spray and glitter..

Thank you for your point of view. It gives me something to think about. Because really they will just wear the dress until it falls apart once we are home...so really what is the difference?
