I am totally incensed, while looking for ticket info on e-bay I noticed someone is auctioning off their Cinderella breakfast reservations. I know how hard you work to get these and that someone would have the gall to actually auction off the reservation is appalling. I quess some people will stoop to anything to make a buck, but this is realy low in MO.  :crazy2:  :sad2: (if there were any little faces that looked disgusted they would be there also) thanks for listening to me vent.

Wow, ebay has a lot to answer for generally but this does make me sad that someone has thought about and planned to do this. What a shame!

That's too bad. Once there is money to be made, it will only get worse. This could get messy if Disney doesn't do something about it. Maybe becoming like the vultures who grab all the seats to sold out concerts before the public gets a chance buy them.

I thought that was the purpose of Disney taking credit card information at the time of making a reservation.
This Ebay situation was common place, hence the credit card required. One time someone got I think almost $75 for their CRT breakfast PS.

EXACT EBAY AD:
"You are bidding on the RESERVATION aka the PRIORITY SEATING for the most popular character meal in Disney World. This is the best way to guarantee quality time with Cinderella at Disney World.

This is NOT a meal voucher nor is the meal paid for.

I tried for years to get a priority seating with Cinderalla to no avail. Now I finally got one, but I can't use it. The seating is for 5 people at 9:40 am June 11, 2005. I will pass my priority seating as my family will be unable to use it.

For anyone who has tried to get in, you know how difficult it is to do so.

Enjoy! Thanks for looking and happy bidding :D"

Tammy, I have to say, I was outraged as well. I went on ebay out of curouisty and left MAD! What made me so mad was the fact that the seller seems to think she's is doing someone a favor? I sent the seller a question:
"How do you intend on transferring this reservation? The Reservation is secured with a credit card and tied directly to your name isn't it? Why don't you just cancel it and let another deserving family who has tried for years to get it the fair way?"

I'll let you know if I get a response?!?

I've been told that you have to have the name and credit card that you put down when you made the PS. And that you can't change the name at all once you've made it. This makes me mad too.

When they first came out with the credit card deposit, I thought you had to show ID when arriving to match the name on the reservation. If they aren't doing that, maybe they need to start.

Very well said...keep us posted if you get a response.

I'm sure if you send in a complaint to Ebay they would pull this auction. Also maybe there is a email to notify Disney - they would have it pulled immediately - People never cease to amaze me at what they try to sell.

I was told to bring my driver's liscence when I made my reservation. So I don't think you can transfer it. It was the only PS (or whatever they are called now ) that had that requirement.
Unfortunatly someone may end up really disapponted at the end if they think they have a reservation but are turned away.

Sorry to say this but: I was able to change CRT from my name to my cousin's last spring. I simply called and cancelled mine and them immediatly rebooked in her name and then gave them her cc#. They told me there was a possibility that once I cancelled someone else may grab it butin the 1 - 2 minutes it took to cancel and then say 'rebook" no one did. I may have "lucked out" with a CM who was willing to do it but who knows...

Actually its going to be a rude awakening for this person when they buy it. We can't transfer advance reservation names for Cinderella. That is why we take a credit card and say a billion times that the name on the AR must match the name on the credit card. I had someone call once that wanted to cancel and rebook in a different name and I wouldn't do it for that exact reason. I said I'm sorry but you will have to cancel it and then call back and hope its still available. This whole selling on Ebay thing is why the id check started in the first place.

Your correct, at least in February 05, I had to verify our PS with my ID.

Since the seller would had to give a cc'd when making the PS I wonder what will happen when they don't show up to dine with the "sold" PS. I would think that disney would charge the "sellers" ccd for the amount of the guarantee??

Then what happens when the person who bought the sold ps shows up and they don't have the information - both people are out $$.

Things that make you go hummmmmmmmm

I tried to find the ad no luck...how is it listed or has it been removed???

Well this is pretty sad. This is not going to work out for any buyer! Us DISers know what it takes to get a Cindy AR and we know that you have to give CC#s and Name, etc. Any average buyer will not know that!!

Personally I wouln't buy anything from that seller with a 94.~% feedback.

Let us know if the seller ever responds to your questions!

I am probably the 1% that hasn't got caught with the Ebay bug, to really know how to bid, or really how to surf the site. However isn't there a way to review someone. Like after you bought, you review that person? If so, can't someone leave a post about this seller, but instead, inform all this wouldn't work. So to warn all. And then maybe ebay would pay attention to the negative comments, and pull it?? :confused3

Just a thought...

We had a PS at CRT this past March...during the week before Easter, and no one ever asked for my ID. I just gave the PS number and the name I booked under when I checked in, but they didn't ask to see the CC I used to book or any ID to prove who I was. :confused3 :confused3
