Forgive me if this has been asked and answered elsewhere, but we're newbies.

We have a 9:10 a.m. reservation for Cinderella's breakfast on July 16; my understanding is that the park opens at 9:00 a.m. so I have the following questions:

1) How early should we be at the park?

2) How long will it take to walk from the entry to the castle?

3) Where is the dining entrance when facing the castle - left, right, center?

4) How long does the breakfast last? Will it be too late to following any of the touring plans after we're done?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Lori

OK - here are your answers:

1) How early should we be at the park?
For CRT, you can enter the park before the actual park opening time of 9:00 am. We had a PS for 8:05 am and Disney lets those folks in at 8:00. So I would be at the park gates by 8:30 am. That way you don't have to rush to get to the castle.
2) How long will it take to walk from the entry to the castle?
Leisure walk (depending on how old your children are) 12 minutes. Me and my DD (8 yrs old) did it in 5 minutes.
3) Where is the dining entrance when facing the castle - left, right, center?
Walk straight through the castle arch (if you can) and the dining entrance is at the right as you finish walking through the castle. If you cannot walk through the castle - walk around the castle to your left on the walkway - and go around to the back of the castle and you will see the entrace. It is very easy to find.
4) How long does the breakfast last? Will it be too late to following any of the touring plans after we're done?
We just ate at the castle on 5/19 at 8:05 am PS and were in and out in 45 minutes. They bring your food quickly and the princesses make a quick round of the tables for pictures and autographs. So if you are not slow eaters and you get seated quickly - you could be out of the castle by 10:00am.

Hope this helps. My DD loves eating at the castle and this trip we got a table next to the window and she could look out while eating.

Have a great trip!!!

I am also taking my two DD's for the first time in a couple of weeks and my question is;

All I have is the PS # given to me over the phone when the PS was made, all I need to do is tell them this number at the gate when we arrive or will Disney send me something? Do you go to a certain gate?

I'm looking at Booking a PS for this but understand that it gets booked up really quickly. My questions are:

1. What time do they open the lines? (Florida time - I'm British)

2. What time do you recommend ringing to get the best chance of bagging a table?

There is a huge thread called "Cindy's Breakfast Advice and Encouragement". I read the whole thing. It is very long. We tried and failed for 7 days straight a few years ago when we were planning our first trip. This time called first day I could 90 days out and had 3 phones going. Our land line and two cell phones. Well following the advice we were in quickly and received our reservation. I will give you a short version of what I did, but you may want to look through the thread I mentioned for complete details.
1) Determine that date, 90 days out, that you want to dine.
2) Have credit card ready for deposit.
3) You the regular reservation line (407) 939-3463. The 800 toll free numbers have delays and this will hinder your chance to get through as the restaurant is booked within minutes.
4) Synchronize your clock.
5) Begin calling at 6:58am EST.

If you hear "Thank you for calling WDW. Our office is closed..." hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words 'our office." and hit redial.

If you hear "Thank you for calling Disney Dining. At this time we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have arrived for your magical WDW vacation already, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any WDW restaurant to make your dining arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding." - If you hear this message you are in- do not hang up. Please note you cannot make any selections until after the message is read. Wait until you hear the line thank you for your patience and understanding...After this passage is read immediately hit number #1 key twice on phone.

Then you will hear "thank you for your time and patience. All of our reps are currently assisting other guests, etc. DO NOT HANG UP, contine to hold and your call should be answered momentarily.

Upon speaking to a CM. Quickly state that you are calling for CRT breakfast, the date, and party size, any time. The rep. will totally understand they are used to dealing with these calls each morning and the restaurant is just not that big. They tables go quickly. Good luck.
