I finally gota dining reservation for dinner at cinderellas royal table. I am so excited my three year old keeps asking about the castle. what should I expect for dinner there.

CRT for dinner is nice but if your 3 yo is hoping it's a character meal, it isn't. You'll still get your photo taken with Cindy before heading to dinner but it isn't the same as at lunch or breakfast.

The meal is a set menu with a small number of choices for each course. Visit AllEars page on CRT dinner for the full menu.

I love CRT even though it often gets a bad rap because of the price. But I really love the magic of eating in the castle and will continue to visit every few years for castle-magic fix.

Eating in the castle I thought was a better experience than the actual food. Since it's for dinner I would make sure your child knows that the princesses won't be there. You take a picture with Cinderella before dinner but it's the fairy godmother and the mice at dinner.

And make sure your child knows that the Fairy Godmother and mice won't post for photos - they might just walk by during the show.

Not true. I have a picture (21 years old so I'm not just some little kid they were trying to make happy) with one of the mice that came over to the table. They posed/stood there while my dad took a picture.

So the fairy godmother and the mice put on some sort of show. that is great my daughter is going to love dining in the castle. my in laws will get a kick out of it too.

That's great!! You will have a wonderful time eating there!

We tried for breakfast and lunch - but only could get a ressie for dinner - and LOVED IT!! Next trip, plan on doing dinner there again. Was really a lot of fun - and for us our ressie was right when the park closed, so was nice to stay there a bit longer, and not waste park time on dinner.
The mice did pose for pics with my girls, not the fairy godmother. Even my son loved it!
The kids all enjoyed their food. I LOVED the prime rib. It was a quick meal - which actually, I wish food at all restaurants would come out as quick as it did here. The picture with Cinderella is a really nice photo package - and the kids loved the wands and sword they got. I still keep hearing Bibbity Bobbity Bo in my head ever since that dinner - and that was over a week ago!
Oh, and I went in there expecting the food to be real lousy, but was pleasantly surprised! And we brought back to the room our extra pretzel bread and the girls had it to snack on the next day.

We are doing dinner here in a couple of weeks, the 6 year old insisted. I hope it is better than mediocre. I plan to get the lamb and I'm sure my hubby will go for the prime rib. By chance, does anyone know the children's selections?

I printed out menus for all the restaurants we are doing this coming trip so I'm sure you could find the menu for CRT online as well.

Yeah My DH and I have one each with one of them too :) :wizard: But they don't stop by all the tables, dunno if was the luck of the draw or because it was our anniversary.

Congrats on your ADR!!!

We are doing it for dinner before MVMCP on the 11th and I am really excited! DS5 wants to see Cinderella (and Mommy doesn't want to wait in a long line and Daddy doesn't want to eat at a Princess Meal ;) ) I want to eat in MK before the party so we aren't wasting party time on eating. It is a win-win for everyone!

I've been to CRT several times through the years. I really do think the experience varies depending on when you go. It's great to have one of the early times, but I think they rush you along more. It really was so much better when Cinderella came around to the tables instead of appearing in the lobby. It really is not very magical to come into that lobby and find nothing but a huge line of people for the umpteenth time at the park, especially if you made the reservation trying to avoid those lines!

I actually splurged on our last trip and went for lunch and dinner. (We could do that since it was just my daughter and myself on this trip.) We didn't want to miss the princess lunch, but also wanted to experience the Fairy Godmother dinner. It made for a very magical day. I make dresses and costumes, so my daughter was wearing her own fairy godmother costume at dinner. Well, it stopped the real fairy godmother in her steps when she came in the dining hall. She called her up and even chatted with her for a bit in front of everyone. I got the pictures I wanted and later Suzy and Perla stopped for pictures at our table.

It was an amazing bit of magic for us. We're heading back in a few weeks. We're leaving the Fairy Godmother costume behind, but have a few very fun goodies along again for extra magic. I can't wait!

Are the mice at breakfast too? I think my kids like the mice better then the other characters. :rotfl:

We are doing breakfast so it is nice to know about the characters and for me not to freak out about the prices, because I am a cheap skate.

Breakfast and lunch have Cinderella in the lobby and 4 princesses making rounds in the dining room who stop for pictures and autographs. Dinner has the fairy godmother and the mice, who dance around and do a very brief show. The mice occasionally hesitate for someone with a ready camera, but no autographs. The fairy godmother makes the rounds but really doesn't stop.

If you really want to see the mice, they are out every now and then, but you'll want to ask a cast member (anyone in a shop with a phon) to call the character hotline and tell you when they will be out. I've seen them on Main Street before.

Hope that helps!
