Cind. Royal Table breakfast soon to be 2 table credits, I'm mad!

As of February the Princess Character Breakfast in the castle in Magic Kingdom is going to count as 2 table service meals. This makes no sense to me and makes me think the plan is not worth it. I just don't get it, lots of other restaurants that are 1 credit cost more than that breakfast such as Alfredo's in Epcot which is just 1 credit. My meal at Alfredo's could be $35 just for the entree alone and the breafast is less than $25....why make it 2 table credits....grrrrrrrrr. This make sense to anyone?

The breakfast at Cinderella's is no longer less than $25.00 for adults...I believe after February 1 it will be $21.99 for ages 3-9 and around $33.00 for adults...

Thanks for the pricing update. I heard you get a picture and lithograph in that price but it is still outragious for breakfast anywhere to be 2 table service credits or to be priced that high for that matter. Also, even at those prices, it does not rise to the level of 2 table service meals in my mind. Hoopty Doo Revue is just over $50, I can see making that 2 table credits....but breakfast...come on!!!

The thing is ... the price went up but includes a picture. So, since everyone has to pay the price (or else 2 TS credits), then does each person get the same picture? Doesn't sound fair.

It's the most popular meal on property, pretty much, so I guess they can do what they want.

If the ressie is March, but you call today which charge do you get. Is the charge today's rate, since you are calling and being charged today or are you charged the rate after Feb 1 since that is when you will be eathing?

I think you are correct..but maybe the photo package won't be for dinner since it isn't a character meal?

I wish they would move up the date of offering the lithograph...we'll be there on the 25th this month, for dinner.

I think the price for CRT is outrageous, but I am not _mad_ about it. I am just not choosing to go there anymore! Its funny because I didn't even think the breakfast was worth it when we paid $19.99 per adult!!! I ate one chocolate muffin!! That's all. Oh well, we went to see the princesses and not for the food. Glad we did it then because I won't be going back any time soon.

I agree. I dont know why it's as popular as it is, the food and service are terrible.

After they started the new CC system for making ADR's it seemed that some of the madness died down, Im guessing that they are purposely trying to kill of even more business with this new policy. Sometimes being too busy isn't a good thing.

Personally I don't understand why they dont go to a CC policy with all the Signature and harder to get restaurants--Le Cellier ocmes right to mind. Even if they made it a four hour cancellation on some of the more casual places, it would certainly help to open seats for people and cut back on no shows.

We were in the MK after the marathon this past Sunday and decided to stay at WDW for the day and have dinner in MGM before the Osborne Lights. I called from my cell phone and booked dinner at Mama Melroses. I was very glad I did, because when we got there they were turning away anyone without PS's. Yet I saw some empty tables which I can only assume were no shows. Had there been a CC hold, perhaps people would have been considerate enough to cancel so people without ADR's could have been accomodated. (BTW, we heard the hostess tell one party there were no ADR's left at any MGM restaurant that night, it was all counter service only.)

I wouldn't say that they're trying to "kill" business. What they want is the same amount of business, or even more business. They seem to be hoping to generate that by raising the price so that the amount of demand is within their available supply. They may even have some days when they're not sold-out, but at the higher price, the amount of business they'll be doing would still be the same or more.

Controlling demand while still realizing a profit is a better way to put it.

I'd like to see a more stringent policy also, but if they do that, then they must make cancelling ADR's easier.

Once I tried to cancel while waiting for Maelstorm, but was still on hold when the ride was loading so I had to hang up. Once I tried to cancel while waiting for Peter Pan, and after twenty minutes on my cell phone I realized it was way to expensive to hold any longer.

One afternoon I was in the hotel with my DDs and at 4:10, I realized that there was no way they were going to wake up anytime soon. I called the resort dining line at was on hold for 50 minutes. Not something I would do on my cell phone.

Well, I'm not sure they want to really focus too much on facilitating last-minute cancellations. One major aim of allowing folks to cancel would be so they can rebook the reservation with another patron. I'd like to see them craft the policy so that folks are expected to cancel the day before, or risk losing their deposit. That might adversely affect folks who have unexpected things come up during the day, but I believe that shifting that risk to each individual patron benefits all patrons overall.
