I imagine the Mexico pavilion will be hoppin' and possibly DS too.
DH and I almost booked for that week but ended up going the following so he could enjoy the first SWW. Anyway, our plan was to head to Mexico and have some tequila flights and Margaritas. Yaaasss, hunni!!
We've been there more than once on that day, and I saw nothing going on. Crowds were no worse than any other day, even though one crowd calendar predicted high crowds.
Is my its my understanding that Cinco de Mayo is not that big a holiday in Mexico and only celebrated in one state and was even more of an Mexican American holiday or mostly just an excuse to drink north of the border.
Cinco de Mayo was when Mexico beat the French at Puebla. It is only celebrated because it was almost near impossible to win the battle and they did! Their Independance Day is Sept 16. Corona has truly played a big role in hyping up this day here in the States!
