Cincinnati DIS Meet...August 16th & 17th

Here's the deal.
Everything of course is debatable...Just throwing some ideas out...


Saturday.
Skyline or Larosa's at 11:30
Red's game 1:15
Can park in Newport & walk across bridge or park on street/garage near stadium.
Argosy saturday night, or dinner wherever??

Sunday
My house, Simba's House(Catsrule), zoo, or Argosy then..

I will need a little help getting this together. Amanda said we could have people over on Sunday but it would have to be after Church, so anytime after 1:30/2:00.

Some good places to possibly stay might be in Florence, Ky..
About 30 minutes away from Stadium & Casino..and they are right off of I-75...
Have to check into names for hotels, but they are on Turfway Road(Near Turfway Race Track)

Sounds really good. I should be there unless that is the weekend that DS goes away to college. Still don't know which college he is going to.

Oh and as a continuation of the conversation from the other thread... I cannot handle smokey places well at all (I get all congested and start coughing) I would much prefer to do the ball game and maybe dinner... I didn't even think about the casinos being full of smoke.

You could possibly hang out with Amanda since she won't be going to the Casino...I'm not real sure if I will, haven't been, but would be curious to see what its like...

I have been to Argosy, I don't like smoke either. I don't remember there being alot of smoke, but it has been a year or 2 since I been there.

helenabear...I cannot handle smoky places either..my husband begged me to go to Argosy with him back in February and I finally caved!! The smoke was horrible and I did not enjoy myself at all!!!! I am VERY sensitive to cigarette smoke though,so others may not be bothered by it at all!!

I'll be at PKI 8/16 for a my wife's company summer shindig. Otherwise, I'd be able to make the meet.

I can do the CASINO on Saturday evening. Maybe a ballgame on Sunday or Kings Island on Sunday.

I could also get together info for anyone wanting to stay at the casino on Saturday night. I guess just PM me and let me know for sure if you are staying at the Casino hotel on the 16th. I know the fill up fast so the sooner the better.

Elaine--about the smoke. I don't care for it either, but they do have a smoke free floor and they have installed new air cleaners. It is not as noticable as it once was.
