Very well said. For those applauding, wait until Disney takes away something that you do....
I'm not a smoker, but I do feel bad for the smokers.
Got no problems with any of this. Folks can go a day without smoking. I love cigars. But I don’t have to have one everyday. Certainly not in the parks. Hope Disney enforces all of this. Especially the stroller fiasco.
As for loose ice. I never knew anyone actually brought ice into the parks? No need for that. Freezer packs has been around for what 40 years?
Couldn't you start with an ice pack, then replace it with ice once inside a park?
I smoke. There should not be a warning. Escort smokers out of the park at the first offense.Unless Disney is fully committed to enforcing No Smoking then this is a total waste. Then need to scan magic bands and issue a warning. Caught again and you are escorted out of the park.
Disney is replacing its side th side doubles with front/back ones.LOL.. maybe they'll give them some photos of types of strollers that are too big
Though really, I can't think of any stroller that would be too big if the double strollers aren't. What is bigger than those? Do they make 3 across?
Most jobs don't allow that flexibility - and any cigarette smoked before or after work can't reasonably be included. My boyfriend is a smoker and he does not go long periods of time without smoking. He smokes before he goes in to work at 7, he "steps out" for a cigarette around 830, takes his regular break around 1015 for a cigarette, he chain smokes on his hour lunch 12-1, "steps out" again around 2, takes his second regular break around 315, and then smokes a few on the way home at 4.
And since they got rid of the freezer component on the fridges, now there is no way to keep cold packs frozen to bring in.I understand the smoking and strollers, but why prohibit loose ice? We don't carry a cooler, I just can't figure out how it causes a problem.
Wow, what a bummer! I wonder if it was maybe a younger college crowd in for spring break and they didn't feel like following the rules. I am at the parks 3 or 4 times a month and have never experienced that.We just returned from a Spring Break trip to WDW and it was not unusual for my DD and I to smell cigarette smoke wafting from the stalls of the ladies restrooms. I wonder if this new smoking ban will increase that issue?
Thank you! If I got pregnant right now I wouldn't have the baby until January so we'd be clear of the first year of marriageTwo and a half bits of unsolicited advice.
1. Babywearing is awesome.
1.a. You don’t have to worry about the stroller size unless you have triplets OR have twins and purposely buy the biggest double you can find.
2. I wish you luck in your endeavors, but must say that having a baby in the first year of marriage can be tremendously difficult even for the best relationships. There’s a reason that both first year of marriage ANd having a baby are each on the list of massive life stresses. Doing both is mind blowing. Take it from me...
Does security search through your resort mug of hydro flask? No? Then noClear as mud.
Does this mean I can't bring ice in my resort mug?
What about a hydro flask?
Really Disney????
Ice is the only one ppl aren’t thrilled about. My ice to keep baby formula cold doesn’t affect anyone else...giant strollers/wagons & 2nd hand smoke does. I’d be glad to use ice packs b/c they’re much more efficient & less messy. That’s all we use at home, but they took away the freezer in the rooms. It's interesting to see how folks are thrilled by such bans, except for the ones that affect them personally.

I thought wagons were already not allowed but not only did we see the "wagon strollers" everywhere in the parks last weed but we saw regular radio flyer wagons all over..... Some with kids inside and some hauling backpacks, coolers and water "jugs"ALL wagons. Period.
Bull. Can to. I did. Cold turkey. Cigarettes ran out same day as my lighter ran out. I took it as a sign to quit. So I did. I'd smoked for 20 years too. Haven't picked one up since that day
So are saying we think ice in zip lock bags will be permitted? That’s all we use anyway bc I don’t want the mess of loose ice either.Ice in a zip lock bag is now contained.
The opposite of loose.
Its easy to stop smoking on a balcony. All you have to do is leave your room and walk maybe 30 yards and find a smoking area. In the theme parks you would need to walk a mile +, each way. While not traditional smokers, my husband used to love a cigar on the balcony in the evening. Disney banned this as well. We’re ok with it.
depend on how hot it is when you go. last trip we had a 4 month old in the group, daughter and baby both were too hot with the carrier. ended up only using the strollerThank you! If I got pregnant right now I wouldn't have the baby until January so we'd be clear of the first year of marriageMy husband has two kids so we already have kids in our lives, just not babies. I figure he'll be the baby expert since he's done it twice already so it won't be as crazy as us both being new parents. For traveling with the baby I do want to get I think they're called bjorn to carry the baby around, but for Disney I feel like a stroller might be easier with all the walking, but maybe not.
I think it’s more security related. If it were about the mess then they wouldn’t make a point to say you can get free ice at QS locations.Until that bag is opened and dumped on the ground...it's now loose.
