I am interested in trying this place during our May trip. I haven't read much love for it on this site... What does everyone think? Good food? Good value? Lots of variety?

We eat at a Chuy's here in KY, and we LOVE it. It's Tex-Mex, which is sorely lacking in our area. The food is good, but tends toward spicy. They have a wide variety of dishes including fish, but they don't have much in the way of non-Tex-Mex (ie, no grilled chicken or steak meals unless it is stuffed into a tortilla). We find the pricing here to be a bit on the high side for our area, but definitely worth doing periodically. If we didn't have teen boys (read: eating machines), we'd probably go there more often. And the boys would say to get the Tres Leches cake at the end - it's sinfully good and big enough for 3-4 people.

You can search online for their menu (I found it very quickly, but don't remember if we're allowed to post links). What I got is their most current menu.

It is good food, but as the pp said it is Tex-Mex. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is not it. However, it is good Tex-Mex. Their all you can eat nacho bar is also good and helps fill those extra hungry boys, but it is only offered at certain times of the day. It is overall a good choice for my family as there is something there for everyone.

We live in Texas and I went to college in Austin where Chuy's started. We loved it then and live it now. We don't have a Chuy's super close to us now so when we were in WDW in January, we went to Chuy's twice during the eight days we were there.

We really liked it. We managed to find something tasty but not too spicy for our heat-aversive son, and something more interesting for the rest of us.

We have a Chuy's here that opened a little over a year ago...I have friends who love the happy hour and the nacho bar, but I guess I'm in the minority because I don't care for the food at all. It's cheap though, has a decent kid's menu and large portions, so those land in the plus column I guess.

We have friends who are huge fans of Chuys but there wasn't one close to us. We stumbled across on in Kentucky on our way home from Florida in October and we LOVED it. I ate my weight in jalapeno ranch and chips.

We took DD and her friend for lunch on Sunday. We enjoyed it and the girls brought food home. I love their chips and soft taco shells. The Elvis Chicken is my favorite.
