I am not sure what board to post this one on so I am trying this one. :confused3 We are looking for a church to attend while we are on vacation next month. Do any of you have any suggestions? (For those of you familiar with his teachings, we attend Parkside Church in Ohio and Alistair Begg is our senior pastor. We would like to find a church to attend with similar beliefs). We has a recommendation last year of one, but it was kind of far for the drive, they had only one late morning service, and the nursery was not clean and the children in there were licking dust off heat registers. :scared: So, this year we are looking again. Any information would be appreciated.

First Baptist of Orlando is a great church. I always enjoy visiting there.

I am familiar with Alistair Begg...but am unsure of the denomination. You can always go to your denominations main website and see if they have a directory of churches. For example, my husband and I are Southern Baptists so if we're ever in a different state and want to check out a church, we can just go to the SBC website or to that particular state's Baptist Association website and usually they have a directory.

We are a non-denominational church, they say we are Evengelical. There are a whole bunch of chruches in the area called First Baptist. do you have an address?

Thanks!

Evangelical as in Evangelical Free? Or evangelical as in the general term like "evangelical Christian"? I grew up Ev.Free and I know a lot of non-denominational churches have associated themselves with the Ev.Free churches. That's why I ask. :) That could help me in trying to locate churches for you.

For First Baptist of Orlando, their website is fbcorlando.org and their address is 3000 South John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32805. :)

Well, to be honest I do not know the answer to your question. However, we have attended several Baptist Church and find they are similar to what we believe as well. I looked at the web site for the church you suggested and I think that will suit us fine. Do you happen to know if they have a cry room? (being from out of town and not knowing anyone, we do not feel comfortable leaving our little one in the nursery. (This is how I know what was happening in the other nursery, I went in there with her.) Thank you so much for your help. Also, would you mind sharing the SBC site you mention? We will be in a different city the following Sunday and I would like to find a church there as well. Thanks again for all your help!

FBC Orlando is a wonderful church. The children's ministry is top notch! THey have security cameras and a great security system as far as your child is concerned. I do not remember a "cry" room, but the church is absolutely huge and their are so many places that you can take an unhappy child. They also have a HUGE balcony and so that is an option.

The SBC link is sbc.net and they have a church search on the sidebar where you can search by zip code, city/state, etc. The Florida Baptist Convention (the state division of the SBC) is flbaptist.org and their church search link is at the bottom of the main page.
