Church lady vent!

Our church also does banners for 1st communion but it is the childs project with help from the parents. It's quite obvious that some of the parents make the banner with absolutely no help from their child. Our church gave the kids felt to make the banner with and a one page instruction sheet. It was very simple, the banner should have the family name, anything else was up to you. Our DRE runs the show. She's been doing it for a long time and has it all under control. Everything runs very smooth. After reading some of these posts I'm sure grateful we have her.

This makes me thank my lucky stars that I am a Methodist. I have never heard of all this banner stuff!!!!!!
