Church at the Poly

Does anyone know if Catholic Mass and Protestant Services are still offered at the Poly? I heard news a week ago that it no longer was, but it was from an unknown source.

If it is still offered, what are the times? If not is there anyplace else on property, or do I need to go off property?

I don't believe that any services are held on site. You can check http://www.maryqueenoftheuniverse.org/ to find the Mass schedule at Mary, Queen of The Universe Shrine...not far from Downtown Disney. You can find it on the Disney Transportation Guide Map up on thr right edge of the map.

Catholic Mass at the Poly, was discontinued last August. We went at the end of August and took Mears Shuttle to Mass Queen of the Universe, as we did not rent a car. The church is beautiful and we plan to do the same this August when we go back. If I remember right, the round trip was $10/pp, picked us up at our WDW resort. On the return trip we rode to the Contemporary and walked over to the park. We called Mears the day before to make reservations. Hope this helps!

It helps tremendously, as we also usually don't have a car! One quick question: I know when we were there on previous trips it was a priest from one of the outside church's that used to come in for Mass on Sundays; is this the church that he used to come from? No big deal; just curious.

I'm not sure on whether the Priest who celebrated our Mass at the Poly prior to last year was from Mary, Queen of the Universe. However, last year the priest at Mass Queen of the Universe did make a real effort to make the weekly out of town visitors feel at home.

Mary, Queen of the Universe is not a "Parish" in the true sense of the word--I believe it's catagorized as a Mission Church--so everyone who worships there is actually a visitor. If I remember correctly, those who assist at Sunday Eucharist, from the greeters to the Eucharistic ministers, are all volunteers from local parishes. In any event, it was a lovely Mass.
