Chuck E Cheese, I did so well I have to share...

I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese today. We have been staying in this week (they had the week off of school,) building puzzles, playing board games and watching the Olympics, but today we needed to get out. So, we went and had a great day, but I had to share with someone how well I did and my friends think I am just annoying with my pride in my frugalness so I wanted to share with someone who would get it.

So, here's what I used coupon wise...

A large with half ham and pineapple and half surpreme, 2 drinks and 33 tokens
Coupon was $17.99 with tax it was $19.06.

Then I used 2 report cards for 30 free tokens (one DD's report card was in DH's briefcase, so we'll use it next time.)

3 Juice Box coupons (the limit) good for 10 free tokens =30 free tokens
3 String Cheese coupons (the limit) for 12 free tokens =36 free toekns
The kids each used a homework reward chart for 10 free tokens = 30 free tokens
The kids each used 5 printable Valentines for 5 free tokens each for 75 free tokens
In the end we got 201 free tokens plus the 33 that came with our package. So, for $19 we ate, drank, played and have over 100 tokens put away for next time.

I almost felt guilty (even said it to the girl waiting on us, she had no issue with it.) But I figure there have been pleanty of times we have been and spent way more so I went from guilty to excited pretty fast!

I have friends who will go there with mo coupons and they think I am the weirdo. I just love getting a deal!!!

I never step foot into Chuck E Cheese without first printing off the toothbrushing reward charts, having a coupon, etc. You did awesome! A lot of time it will state that you can't use more than one "promotion" or coupon at a time, so you got a great deal!

Yes, I had a coupon (might have been that same one) for a few more tokens and a dollar more, but I knew we were getting so many (too many) free ones and had a goal to keep it under $20 so I went with this one. In the end my kids used less then 100 of the tokens so we didn't need the extra but it wouldn't have been a bad deal to get a few more for a buck, but again, I had it in my mind that I wanted to keep it under $20. I don't know, I do these little money challanges with myself. It's sort of like sport for me.

I hear you, me neither, but we'll go with friends who will drop $40 or more and I don't get it.

Our CEC will let yiou use as many different coupons as long as you don't exceed the limit on each stated. So, the Miute Maid ones say limit of 3, we used 3 of them, and the string cheese also says limit of 3 so we used 3 of them. We can use tons of coupons if they don't exceed the limit stated on the coupon. It's great!!!

Wow thats great, ours only lets us use one promotional coupon per order. So if I used the meal coupon I couldn't use the juice box. I am going to give it another try next time though

but they will allow me one chart/child as well. In OP scenario, I would not have been allowed the cheese or juice box, but most likely everything else.

kids love an occassional trip to CEC.
