Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

CP,
So sorry to hear that your plans fell through! I actually snuck off to a couple of wi-fi hot spots while I was "working" to check my PM's to see if you had gotten in.
I know what you're saying about the price for the deposit. I thought it was ridiculous that on a trip that costs $500 to have to put up $344 :confused3 ...But then when the TA said that if I canceled within the 45 day period, I would 'only' lose $200.00 ONLY $200! Man, I've got to go shopping with this gal!
Even though wasn't the most fiscally responsible thing to do I went ahead and put it on my card (of course knowing that I tax refund check should be here before my next statement is due and I've signed up for overtime every night that I am off)
But not to worry!!!! Your friends will be there and we will not let you down!!! Expect to see many, many, many photos and videos from the event! And even though we do not drink, Lynn and I will raise a (imaginary) Kungalosh! To you and you're Charles!

Thanks, Chuck!!! Keep your fingers crossed that there are still openings at the end of the month and maybe we will still get in (although I know that a chance at the AC is something a lot of people will jump at)! Charles and I were talking about maybe heading down there that weekend anyway -- even without AC, we could do MNSSHP and Food and Wine and meet everyone. :goodvibes

I wish now, in retrospect, that I hadn't sent all the tax refund to Disney for our June trip -- who knew such a cool thing would come up? Oh well. I will definitely look forward to all the photos! Maybe even a video of everyone singing the AC song? :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

You guys should come down! I think it is Chuck's secret plan to get as many of my friends to go down that weekend as possible so that I can go to MNSSHP with them and he won't have to go! Could Chuck be losing his WDW love? Say it isn't so!!
We've still got our fingers crossed for openings at AC!

Marc & I are really contemplating going as well. Not to the AC thing as it's a little tough right now to come up with that money but just for a long weekend. I'm pretty excited, I hope we can work it out and meet up with everyone!! :woohoo:

But whatever would Chuck do while you were at MNSSHP? Sit in the hotel room? That isn't any fun!

OK, now I've got a completely DIFFERENT perspective on the song "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo"...............:rolleyes1

So this is what he was doing while we were watching the movie last night! You guys are hilarious!!!

Let me apologize ahead of time. Most of these pictures are mine and they are not the best. Let's just get through it quickly and move on, shall we?

Day Three Part Eight

After leaving the worst meal ever, we found ourselves smack dab in the middle of MVMCP! We took a chance and stopped in the Christmas shop and got a new ornament. (I didn’t take a picture and they are all packed up now!) Security was tight and they were checking wristbands everywhere. Chuck wanted to set up and get a few pictures of the castle all lit up, but I was so afraid of getting caught and kicked out. I know I rushed him, and I feel bad for it now. I did let him stay long enough to get these.

There was even uniformed security checking people going into the Emporium! I was glad to get out of there!!

We hopped on the monorail and made our way over to the Contemporary. We thought it would be fun to see the Christmas decorations there. ( I wanted to ride the monorail again, too!)

The Contemporary had a wonderful chocolate sculpture of Pinnochio and Geppetto. It was poorly lit for picture taking, but I guess they had to worry about the chocolate melting.

Sorry this is so blurry, but you get the picture. (Get it , picture. Hahaha)

The gift shop had my favorite tree of our entire trip! The monorail tree!!

On to my personal favorite: the Polynesian!! This beautiful tree was in the lobby.

I love how the ornaments are themed to the resort. I can imagine these on a tree in a home in Hawaii.

The lobby also featured gingerbread house made by the CMs and representing famous buildings in Hawaii.

Some were done by the different chefs, but others were done by just the ordinary CMs who worked there, like this one.

This is my favorite. It was on the bar. I love the little gingerbread bartender.

I’m pretty sure this was the head chef’s.

I long to stay at this resort again!! It was even more beautiful and peaceful during the holidays.

Next up: Frozen Wishes!!

Beautiful pictures again Chuck! The castle picture was gorgeous. Thank you for risking life and limb to get that for us! (I take it the CM's are serious about having wristbands for the MVMCP!) Lynn, I love the different pictures of the trees from the resorts. The monorail tree is pretty cool. Thank you again for the photos and update!

I wouldn't want to get thrown out of Magic Kingdom either -- I don't blame you one bit for hurrying Chuck along.

I have never ever seen a picture of the monorail tree! That's awesome!!! :thumbsup2

I too have never seen the Monorail Tree. That is so cool!! I LOVE all of the different Hawaiian gingerbread houses. I was trying to figure them out. I think that the last one was the Iolani Palace. Do you you remember if that was it?

I was in the shop in the Contemporary that had the monorail tree and I totally missed it! Thanks to you being on the ball I get to enjoy it despite my apparent total inattention at the moment. Hope they do it again next year. :) It would be awesomely fun if it could be a real ride!

Uniformed security checking wristbands. Yikes!

I'd never seen the monorail tree either nor the Poly's decorations. Thanks for sharing! The gingerbread bar/tiki hut with the gingerbread bartender is adorable!

I see you have a new ticker! The countdown is on!

One of my goals was to see the diffierent resort Christmas themes this year. We've got a few more to share.

I'm not sure what would happen if you were caught, but I did not want to find out. Chuck was not too pleased with me at the time, but I'm glad you guys understand!!:grouphug:

I'm pretty sure it was. It was pretty neat to have the professional looking ones right along side the homemade looking ones. It gave the lobby a family feel. I had hoped you would like them.

I love, love, love that monorail tree. Chuck and EM would it ride with you! :lmao: Not sure I could stomach it! It was the perfect tree for the Comtemporary!

I was very nervous about being there! I'm sure they take into consideration that people have to get out after eating at CRT, but I wasn't taking any chances. ......but you know, it would have made an interesting chapter for the trip report.;)

Did you see? Did you see? It's a flippy banner!!

Im thinking of changing back, though. I like seeing the number of days!

I am so glad I am not the only paranoid person not wanting to get thrown out of a park! I am going to have to tell Marc about your following the rules so he will stop teasing me about our DHS morning last September. :lmao:

I'm loving your new tickers! :woohoo:

Wow security was tight, but I suppose that's good. Love the photos Lynn, especially all the different gingerbread houses, very cute!

So will you be participating in the actual EE5K challenge or just the easy AC bit? :rotfl:
