We went to 50's Prime Time Cafe for dinner on 9/30/08. I have eaten there many times and I think they have wonderful food and it is so cute in there.
We checked in and were seated within 5 min so we didn't have to wait long (thankfully, because the waiting room was plum full). Our waitress came and she was really nice. She pretended to be our mom as part of the antics. We ordered our drinks and looked the menu over. My mom, uncle and I ordered vanilla malts as our drinks and my aunt and brother ordered pop. My uncle and I went with the fried chicken with mashed potatoes. It normally comes with greens but I don't know what they are so we asked if we could substitute for corn and they did so with no problems. My mom ordered the steak with roasted potatoes and veggies. My aunt ordered the meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Brandon ordered the pot roast with masshed potatoes. For desserts I ordered the s'mores, brandon and my uncle ordered the brownie sundae, my aunt ordered the chocolate sundae and my mom ordered the apple cobbler.
The cost for 3 uf us (2 malts, pop, pot roast, fried chicken, steak, cobbler, brownie sundae and s'mores) was $88.84. We left an 18% tip of $15 bringing our grand total to $103.84.
On to the food....................
The fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn
The pot roast minus the carrots and celery becuase Brandon couldn't refrain from removing them before I got the chance to take the picture.
Ok I know this looks like half eaten food but it really isn't. My mom and aunt split the meatloaf and steak. They already split them before I got to take the picture. So one hunk is meatloaf and the other hunk is steak.
The antics:
Brandon couldn't keep his little elbows off the table so this is what happened to him. He was dunced. It reads NO ELBOWS!
The desserts:
The chocolate sundae
The S'mores
The brownie sundae
and.........
The apple cobbler
Everyone in my family enjoyed this restaurant. It is themed really well even with the old tv show episodes running throughout dinner. The food was excellent as always. My only dislike I had was with my s'mores. The graham cracker was soggy and it was made with chocolate sauce not a real chocolate bar. Other than that no complaints here! Happy eating.
