Would you recommend this book? I have to read it for school and I just wondered if anyone liked it! :goodvibes I rented the movie too! My mom said it would probally be easier to understand everything if I watch the movie to. :confused3 What are your opinions????? Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

I say go for it! It's an awesome book. Read "The Magicians Nephew" too. It's the first book of the chronicles. I couldn't put it down!

Chronicles of Narnia are a series of books. :confused3

The books are excellent.

Read the book first - your imagination is much clearer than any media. If you watch the movies first, you lose a lot. You are subject to the directors, actors and editting people's view instead of the writers view or the intended point.

I love the series, but didn't like the movie that much.

The series is great; I've read them over and over and over and over and over and over and over again since I was six or so...

well personally I think the movie's better than the book!! The movie is REALLY good and the graphics are good as well. But I would still read the book though AND see the movie just to see what you think.

i loved that one
yeah ive it i liked it

First of all, I read the Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe when I was about 8.
I loved it.
I still love it.

but, I got my dad to buy me the whole series & I hated it. I thought the Magicians Nephew was sooo stupid and just ugh. And mind you I was 8! Usually back then I loved anything magical, but I just couldn't stand that book. Then I tried the third book which had to with Prince Caspian, and had parts about the kids, but then it just turned around and was terribly boring. After that I tried the other books and couldn't get into them.

Since then the only fantasy books I've read is Harry Potter. I can't stand any other books in Fantasy.

BTW if you ever want to read LOTR, watch the movies, you'll fall asleep on the books.

Read the book first. It is very short and fairly simple, so it shouldn't be too hard to get into. The first chapter or so are a bit dull, but it gets more interesting later on.

The movie is very good (I assume you mean the new one by Disney, not the ooold ones), BUT, it does stray a lot from the book. I know that bugs a lot of big-time fans of the book, but they do stick to the heart of the story, so I am fine with it.

i've been reading it and love it so far! i cant believe how quick narnia gets discovered though! :confused3 thanks everyone for the advice!!!!! :thumbsup2
