hi everyone, as I am offsite this trip was looking around at other things to do.
was wondering if anybody had been to see Ice at the gaylord palms or down to celebration to their snow nightly and tree lighting? any reviews for me?
also, has anyone stumbled across other festive events or areas we can enjoy?
all comments gratefully received :-)

thanks for that link, will have a look!
yes we will be visiting the resorts, they are gorgeous in December, plenty to do onsite that's christmassy. just fancied getting out and about too.
thanks again :-)

We have been to Celebration a few times at Christmas - one year we even did the horse & carriage ride. I think it is lovely to go - enjoy a meal and see the kids messing about in the foam (sorry snow!). They also have a little train you can take a ride on - Santa was there last time & this year I think they may be having an ice-skating rink.

I did get some information on some botanical gardens near Clearwater - that light up at night for Christmas - they decorate with fairy lights - may be worth a visit if you are having a day out that way?

Weve been to ice theres piccys on my florida facebook pics from last xmas, the kids loved, it, it was cold though even with the giant blue anoraks they give you, you get hot choccy afterwards though xx

The last pic is of the baby aligators @ the hotel and confrence center there, the kids enjoyed walking round looking at them, a few shops etc there too.

We also did Celebration and there nightly snowfall, theres a little train and a santa workshop along the lake, the pizza shop there is good, they sing carols too!

The grand Floridian and the gingerbread house is a must, theres pics of that too on facebook x

We also went to Celebration a couple of years ago to see the snow, it's great fun :) and we're looking at going a this year too... need that white Christmas feeling :thumbsup2

will definitely be adding gaylord palms to the schedule now I've looked at the website, they have a ice slide with rings for the kids that the boys are going to love :-)
celebration looks really good too. getting very excited!

That ice slide is wayy cold, and even though they tell you not to lick the ice, the lovelycolours make it impossible not too, i caught Alex doing it!! told him his tounge would stick if he did it again....:rotfl:
