Christmas

There is no separately ticketed events such as MVMCP. It is decorated for the holidays. Even Haunted Mansion and It's a Small World have holiday makeovers. A special Christmas parade is shown once or twice a day, depending on crowds. Also different holiday entertainment options are offered such as Santa's Beach Blast at DCA and Ruldolph's Reindeer Ranch at DL. Holiday treats are also sold throughout both parks.

of all the times I have been to DL, I have never been in the parks at Christmas time, looking forward to changing that this year.

Disneyland in December is more magical to me than any other time of the year. :santa: It will give you the "warm fuzzies."
Since our first December trip, we have never gone back at any other time of the year... it has become our annual Disney outing.

The decorations are stunning. New Orleans square is decked out in spectacular glory, Main Street is full of glittering "eye candy" decor, the whole park has such a wonderful Christmas time feel to it. The Haunted House is hosted by Jack Skellington, It's A Small World becomes bearable to ride, it also has mind blowing Christmas lights all over it... you just stand and stare... it is completely mesmerizing. Carolers sing at various locations, the background music is all holiday oriented, and guests walk around wearing Santa hats of all varieties. They sell the best hot cocoa on the planet in a reusable coffee mug for $5 (mine are like the Energizer Bunny... still going after many years). They have snow makers blowing snow (or I should say, soap bubbles) in certain areas after the fireworks... you can't help but get sentimental if you have been craving a white Christmas.
Downtown Disney is a sight to behold, as are the Disneyland Hotels (each is themed different for Christmas). Don't miss seeing the giant tree at Paradise Pier Hotel... an underwater spectacle on a pine.

It is a fantastic way to get into the Christmas spirit. The crowds seem nicer, people are friendlier, the rudeness level decreases dramatically. Crowds are not too bad the first 2 weeks, by the 3rd week on, they are shoulder to shoulder.

I highly recommend Disneyland at this time of the year.
It seems to contain more pixie dust in it's enchanted air.
Just don't let the secret out. :rolleyes1

oh my god,you just painted the perfect picture:cloud9: Thank you for giving me goosebumps and my first giddiness about our very first Christmas visit to Disneyland:wizard:

This will be my 3rd trip to DL at Christmas time. I love the, usually, cooler weather, the garland draped down the middle of Main Street, the Christmas Tree, the over-sized Christmas bulbs on the trees in the hub, the carolers, the snow, the soft Christmas carols being played in the background...oh...and the bell ringers who play Christmas songs with the bells. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I don't know if they're still there or not...I hope so.

After dark, when all those lights come on...it's so magical. I love just sitting near the hub and breathing it all in. I can't wait! :santa:

I cant wait thank you for makeing me see it all when i closed my eyes
