Other than Disney (of course) what are your favorite designs and/or patterns?

For some reason I am always drawn to paper that has cute snowmen on it.. Usually try to find a more adult paper that is dark green (kind of like hunter green) with light gold writing on it that says "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays"..

I like Santa paper - but more of the old-fashioned Santa type - and candy canes if they're not too large..

Of course "glittery" paper is always nice, but I'll only buy that if I'm able to get the very, very thick rolls up here at the lake in May when that guy sells off the remainder of his fund raising items for $1 each..;)

Well, I was at hobby lobby not too long ago and they have super cute designs!

They have a really cute red and white hounds-tooth paper. Kinda modern, but also very fun and christmasy!

For Christmas, I like glittery or shiny paper (in red, green silver and/or gold), with big hand-tied bows. That's the only time I wrap gifts that way, and it looks so cheery under the tree!

I like them all which explains the stack of wrapping paper in my attic. LOL

For the past several years I've had fun with wrapping paper. I assigned each child 2 different types and I'd wrap their gifts in "their" paper only.

I didn't put their names on it so they didn't know whose was whose until I passed it out to be opened.

My kids were not pleased since they couldn't try to guess the gifts early. :rotfl:

No glitter in our home. I use Rudolph, Frosty, Snoopy, Angel and the like paper.

I'm drawn to glittery foils, snowmen, and any candy type wrapping paper. I also like sweet faced santa paper for santas gifts.

I try to do a complete different color scheme/theme each year. I've done a woodsy feel, a bright shiny colored christmas lights feel, all snowmen, etc. Last year I did a "leftovers" year with all leftover pieces.

This year I'm not sure, but would like to go the traditional route. I picked up some red, white, and green (and maybe brown?) plaid paper, but that's it so far, just the one roll.

I love snowmen and precious moments paper. I also get snowflake paper as well.

I love country looking paper like classic plaid for adults. Generally, santa or snowmen for kids presents. No wrapping on our :santa: gifts.

My pet peeve is "gift wrap" which has no paper in it. You open the roll, and it's like plastic. It slides all over the place, and it's hard to wrap the gift neatly.

Is there any way to tell before you buy? I don't think anything is labelled as "wrapping paper" anymore.

My pet peeve is... one year I bought one that was wax coated. The tape kept popping open :headache:

I laughed when I read this, this is spot on!

Each kid gets their own wrapping paper from Santa, DS ususally gets Santa paper, one DD loves Pooh, she gets that paper and one DD gets Disney Princess or the like. I pass any leftovers to friends because of course the gifts are wrapped at the North Pole and we wouldn't want North Pole wrapping paper sightings at our house.
For the rest, I usually buy what is on clearance that I like, but I do try to color coordinate each year.
We also use gift bags and recycle them from year to year, my kids have their favorites that we've used for years. We also have some homemade-sewn gift sacks that we use each year and love.

My favorite wrapping paper is really classic patterns, clean lines. Things like plaids and stripes. I don't mind the occasional Santa.

Or even just a plain red or green paper dressed up with patterned ribbons and bows.

I still have a big roll of my favorite Christmas paper, I think I have had it for about 15 years. I used to live near an "If It's Paper" store where they had bulk rolls of paper that you bought by the foot. The paper I love is simple. It is brown craft paper with an illustrated black print of a cowboy dragging a Christmas tree behind his horse. The tree is green. I used to wrap using this and either a red raffia bow, or tie it with a bandana, twine, or rope.

Otherwise my favorite print now is whatever Target had on sale last year for 75% off. I think its snowmen and reindeer this year.

Whimsical......I tend to hoard the ones I really like :rotfl:
Snowmen, penguins.
Cute animals.
Had Santa surfing, bears roasting marshmallows.
I tend to collect it also. The big rolls from Costco last forever!! But very nice.

I really like foils over paper - then match really nice ribbon.

for paper prints: anything classical Xmas and - penguins!:)

:wizard:

This thread reminded me of a Demetri Martin joke :D

"I set a personal record on Christmas. I got my shopping done three weeks ahead of time. I had all the presents back at my apartment, I was halfway through wrapping them, and I realized, 'Damn, I used the wrong wrapping paper.' The paper I used said, 'Happy Birthday.' I didn't want to waste it, so I just wrote 'Jesus' on it."

Anyways, my favorite paper that we have is Winnie the Pooh characters ready for winter.

I love plain gold paper, candy cane striped, plain shiny green...
Not crazy for anything with pictures on it, really. I like to dress up my packages with nice ribbon.
