Its a thought at the moment, but we are considering staying at the GFloridian for Xmas 2004, but is WDW open at this time of year? Can we stay at a WDW resort on Xmas day and then visit the parks?

Has anyone stayed at xmas? is it better or not?

many thanks to all who reply with their views,

merry xmas to all

Kevin

Kevin, plan that trip. Disney World welcomes you any time of the year. And, Goofy will be there on Christmas Day ready for you and the family.

Plan to come next Christmas and enjoy.

Yes WDW is open year round.

WDW is very nice this time of year. It gets very very crowded however.

Another thread here mentioned that MK was closed at 11:45AM due to overcrowding Thursday.

At Christmas time, besides having great decorations, special events are held at the Magic Kingdom (Christmas parade and MVMCP) and Epcot (storytellers at each country describe the traditions in that particular country(.

The GF is one of the more beautifully decorated resorts. It has a huge tree in the lobby and a gingerbread house.

WDW is open every single day of th year and is especially magical at Christmas. You must plan that trip!
