Hi everyone!
We're thinking of a Christmas cruise on DCL this year, but if no TA rates are available for cruises we are interested in, we plan to jump ship (so to speak) and plan a DLR trip instead. We may book some DLR hotel room placeholders in case the cruise doesn't pan out.
We had one glorious year where I wasn't teaching and DD wasn't in school yet, so we were able to go to DLR on a slow week this February. The crowds were super low - partially due to the rainy weather - and we really enjoyed ourselves. I'm sure we would still have a wonderful time in a more crowded park, but we really were spoiled this year!
This fall, DD starts kindergarten, so we feel like we should work around school breaks. Ergo, my question: would Christmas week or President's Day week be better for a DLR trip? (If they're both a hot mess, we'll take her out of school just prior to Christmas or in early February.)
