Hello,

This will be our first time visiting US/IOA. Our plans keep changing but at this time we will have only one day for both parks. Can someone with experience please tell me what the difference between arriving at 8am and say 11am would mean? How long do the express lines get during christmas week? If we could sleep in we would have a more relaxed/happy group but not if we're in hour long lines. Thank you for any help you can give!!

It would be exceedingly rare for an express line to be an hour long. The only time I've ever seen really long express lines is if a ride has broken down. Other than that, it's usually not more than 15 mins. even at the busy times.

I was at Univerersal Christmas 06 and we stayed at HR, had fotl from that. We never waited more than 5 minutes for the rides that had express pass. I do remember waiting a little longer for the more show like rides. But things like Hulk and Spidey were really quick, mummy wasn't open yet.

We stayed over 4th of July weekend. We slept in every day, and never had problems waiting with FOTL. 4th of July is allegedly one of the busiest days.

I went during Christmas week in 2004 and it was slammed! I didn't notice how long the Express lines were because they still offered the free EP's at that time. I can tell you it was wall to wall people! I would still plan on getting up early at least for the first day.
