Christmas week crowds and Animal Kingdom

Thanks for all of the posts on FOP, etc. I am going during Christmas week, which we have done before. Would love to go to Animal Kingdom, but I am assuming the crowds will be brutal. I am used to bad crowds. But with Pandora- are we talking about body on body all day? Or Pandora will be bad, but Africa, Asia etc would be normal?

I can only speak of pre-Pandora, Christmas week 2015. Yes, crowds were quite large in AK (second to MK, IMHO, and this was the last year of Osbourne lights in DHS, so we were kind of surprised). We opted to do the Wild Africa Trek on our AK day to stay out of the crowds and it was perfect. I think if you are going to do it, just get in early, get FP+ for whatever is available and be prepared to leave if the crowds become unbearable. On our AK day during Christmas week (we went Dec. 26), after our tour, we hopped to EP, which was quite manageable throughout the week as long as we avoided EP WS during CP showtimes.
