Christmas Week at Legoland

So I know that Disneyland is ridiculously crowded the days between Christmas and New Years, but what about Legoland? I see they have extended hours (closing at 7:00 rather than 5:00)...and I suppose that's a sign that they are expecting big crowds. But are "big" crowds at Legoland really that big?

A friend who has an annual membership went today, 12/27, and said it was "crazy". The rides are very slow-loading, so big crowds have a huge impact on how many rides you can get on. So while attendance numbers don't come close to Disneyland, due to the smaller size and nature of the rides, it is a very busy park during this time.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to go for the snow, but I think I'll just wait to go without the crowds.

We visited Legoland during that period in 2011. The fake snow area was pretty lame; we were basically walking around in packed ice by late afternoon. It's definitely not worth visiting Legoland during one of its busiest weeks for that attraction. Though as a PP pointed out, Legoland's busiest doesn't come close to Disneyland's busiest. Aside from the lines, you still get a spacious feel when you walk around the park. And we still managed to do everything in one day (whereas when we've visited Disneyland during Xmas week we may have gone on less than 10 rides -- if that -- in one day because of the super long lines and massive crowds everywhere.
