Christmas Vs. February?

I tagged this question on the end of the OP "Who's going Christmas Week?". We've been to WDW the last 2 years at the end of Value Season, and I'm pondering going Dec 2006 over Christmas. We've 2 DD's 8 & 5 so Santa would have to do his magic at FW. Any ideas? I've always wanted to go to Disney over Christmas, but would it be too much having to haul gifts all the way down to Fla? We're from Canada, and I don't want to spend a night shopping in Orlando. Thanks.

We have hauled gifts to WDW in the back of the van. You just have to keep the kids occupied when packing the vehicle and put their Santa stuff at the bottom. We also bought stocking stuffers while there like Disney dollars and sweatshirts. If you are creative it isnt all that hard.
Now that our boys are older 15 & 12 we dont have to worry about Santa.

WDW is nice at Christmas, every place is decorated and its fun to be in warmer weather. We have spent the last 2 at WDW and are hoping to go this year (we have had ressies for almost a year)
As far as I am concerned I would spend every Christmas for the rest of my life there

We live farther away than some Canadians, so if we can do it anyone can

We actually shipped down our Christmas tree and some small gifts last Christmas. It was really easy to do and they were at the front desk when we checked in. Just address it to your resort with your name and check in date on the front, and do this about 5 days before you arrive. We didnt ship anything expensive. It was our first Christmas at Disney and we had a great time, just wish it was a little warmer, the lowest temp was 47 but then it warmed up, but we never did go swimming.

Boy, I would go over Christmas in a heartbeat, if I could talk everyone else into it.

We sneak in sometimes just to see the decorations. I still don't get how these people pack all this stuff into their campers. The coolest stuff I have ever seen, considering that this is a campground ... not main street USA.

If you can get ressies, I would sure go for it ... once anyway ...

Well this is our first Christmas to go and although I am dreading the crowds (we usually go when there are NO crowds) I am looking forward to the decorations. (we are staying off site this trip though )

Santa will be bringing a bike, bitty baby twins & stroller set, and other stuff. Enough for 3 kids. We will be stowing the bike (& probably most everything else) under our bed. Whatever won't fit in camper storage will go in rubber maid bins in the back of my SUV. PLUS, we have to take the 4' tree for outside and a small tree for inside (Christmas eve) and all the other decorations! Just make sure you pre-assemble (even if you have to take it back apart) everything ahead of time to make sure it works properly! We learned our lesson several years ago and I make sure I do this. MIL gets the kids for a day so I can go thru everything.
Oh, don't forget to pack batteries for everything!
