My son (11) and I will be at WDW from 12-19 through the 26th. I'm bringing a small tree with us, so we will have some decoractions in our room (probably some other things as well). My son's main presents from me are a digital camera and a Visa gift card, he'll be getting those during the trip. The smaller presents and those from Santa will be at our home for when we return.

Being that we'll be leaving the day after Christmas, I was thinking of giving him my presents on our arrival (sort of an early Christmas). That way he'll be able to take all his pictures and buy his beloved Lego's at DTD. Or should I just give him the camera ahead of time, and the gift card on Christmas morning? I was afraid that if I wait until then, he'd be rushed in picking out his Lego's...and since we're leaving the next day, we wouldn't be able to go back.

I'm sure I'm really over-thinking this, but I'd be grateful for any opinions!

As long as you are having some smaller things at Home. Then go ahead and give them to him at the beginning of trip as it is a X-mas trip.

Or ask him and leave it up to him.

I do agree if you wait he may just want to spend it just to spend it. Where iof he knows what he has he can make some more imformed decisions.

Good Luck and have a great trip.
