I am looking at Balsam Hill online, and, boy their nice trees are expensive!!!

Any idea where to get a first hand look at some nicer artificial trees???
I am thinking, not KMart/Lowe's....

Thanks for any ideas!

Do you have any large garden centers near you? We have Hewett's here - and they always carry artificial - as well as real..

The very best artificial tree I ever got (granted, many, many years ago) was from Sears..

Penney's? Oh - another place that had good ones - but I don't know if they're a national chain - Tru Value Hardware (or in some places they are called AC Hardware)..

Do you have a Christmas Tree Shop near you?

That's all I can think of right at the moment..

Good luck with your search..:goodvibes

In our area, the local pool stores always have beautiful trees. We just bought a new one last year.

Kmart had some absolutely beautiful ones that were pre-lit with led lights. I really really liked them. But just can't bring myself to go fake just yet.

I saw some really nices ones in Costco recently, they were by Kirkland (the Costco house brand, which is usually very high quality in their products). Prices were reasonable, I am thinking of getting one myself.

I have a 9' pre-lit tree from Costco (Kirkland brand). It is beautiful. I am putting it up next week!

I got mine at Balsam Hill last year. It was on sale and it was totally worth it. Their trees are beautiful.

If you can hold out for another year, the best time to buy them is after Christmas when they are on sale. We got a $150 tree for $75 several years ago and it has paid for itself over and over. We found it at a local hardware store.

I bought mine at Target but Home Depot had some really pretty ones.

I think we paid $169 for our tree.

We got ours at home depot...its so pretty and big (9ft) and pre lit with white lights..

I got mine about 10 years ago at Hobby Lobby AFTER Christmas. I don't have a prelit one though. I still like to string lots of lights. I look forward to the annual tiff with DH every year about whether to start at the top (says I) or at the bottom (says he). I win every year CAUSE I'M RIGHT!!!! :lmao:

I got mine at JCPenny a few years ago on Black Friday. I have found BF morning to be a GREAT time to get an awesome tree at an amazing price. I love my tree. it is full, and it is pre-lit with loads of lights and multiple lighting settings.

DH and I had a hard time finding an appropriate non-lighted artificial tree a couple years back. We eventually found what we wanted at Menards. Not sure you have one near you, but if so, they're worth a look.
