Christmas Tree!!

Ummm, no LOL I just put our Halloween stuff up last night. We'll put our trees up after Thanksgiving. We have 6, so it takes a while. And no, they aren't all big 7-8 foot trees.....just in case you were wondering.

No, we don't put ours up until December. Somehow, to me, it takes away the "specialness" of it all to have them up so early (we put up two trees).

I did see a neighbor last night though who already has all their indoor & outdoor decorations up. They looked great!

Me neither. I don't even have the Thanksgiving stuff up yet. But, hey...I say go for it if that's what you want to do. Nothing wrong with it.

:goodvibes Yay for you!!! :thumbsup2 I'd have mine up if hubby would let me...we leave for WDW on the 21st so he's "allowing" me:rotfl2: to put it up NEXT weekend!!! I can hardly wait. We put up 3 trees...one of which is 12 feet tall! I love to decorate and Chrismtas stuff takes up about 1/2 of my attic. :santa: I just hope I have enuff time to get my stuff up around our trip...?:wizard: I'll need some special magic for sure!!! ;)

Wow! Can't believe you have your tree up already! We are actually going to cut down on Christmas decor this year. Pretty much only the tree. No outside lights this year and no village. We age going to WDW Dec. 5-12 as a Christmas gift from my parents. So, I want to keep it simple. I am looking forward to keeping it simple this year. My mom has a Dept 56 Dickens village. She has almost 300 houses and gazillion trees and stuff to go with it. It really stresses me out. She makes Christmas a HUGE thing but I like to keep it simple.

As much as I love my Christmas tree, it still a little early to put it up. We'll do it on Thanksgiving weekend.

On the other side of the coin, when do you take it down? I once babysat for a family that had theirs up until March! A real one! Apparently the 3 year old cried when his mom tried to take it down. Can you say over-indulgence, not to mention fire hazard?

Haha, I have joked with my husband that we should start decorating! I said, hey Target has their tree up, its only fair! But we will wait until Thanksgiving. After dinner we will decorate. Do share pics tho!

I can't wait to put our tree up! I think we're going to wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving, though. We get a live tree and I don't want it to lose all the needles before Christmas.

We don't have the tree up yet, but I have started to put up some of the smaller decorations and I've been pulling out all of my Christmas globes and music boxes. I absolutely love Christmas time and every year I end up decorating till the house looks like a Christmas shop threw up in here! This year is even more special now that we are in our new house and I can really go all out....oooo boy DH is in trouble with all the lights!

We normally put ours up on Black Friday, but this year we decided not to put the tree up because we will be at Disney from Dec 13-30, so just decided to take a small tree with us to put up in our room.

Lol.

Not here. Our neighbor behind us has theirs up...and my mom thinks it's far to early...and she LOVES decorating for Christmas. :D

YES we have outr tree up BUT we norm wait till later in Nov. the only reason we have it up is because I went and got a new tree and I got a 9 FT pre lit tree and had to make sure it fit in our house! lol I wanted to make sure I didnt need to exchange it but by the time we got all that tree together we were NOT about to take it down so we just left it up! lol its ok we love the house all dressed up for the holidays....:santa:

I have one tree up. I will probably try to get the other one up next week. I want everything to be up before Thanksgiving when DD comes home from college.

Thanksgiving weekend is what I prefer. DH would like to put it up earlier for guests that come to Thanksgiving, but I want to focus on one holiday at a time. Savor each one :)

:cool1: All three are up, lit, with presents wrapped and waiting......wanted to enjoy them before our trip to WDW 12/5-12/14. They are all pre-lit and 7.5 ft tall. Tigger Tree is multicolored and in the den--he is full this year and DH wants to start a Pirate Tree this year--Yeahhhhh! Fancy silver tree (white lights) is in the front living room and my orange, bronze tree(white lights) is in the dining room. Next weekend will begin helping SIL with hers. Then after Thanksgiving will put up 2 for MIL. So I do them around Halloween. It is hard to fit it all in working full time and enjoying holidays. Happy Decorating Everyone!!:santa:

We do. I asked to get the decorations down yesterday from the attic. I JUST wanted to go through them since we're in a new house and see what we needed.

Next thing I know, husband and son are dragging everything in from the garage and the tree is half up! So, we are totally decorated inside but nothing outside yet!

It's been a tough year and we have a vacation to Disney in mid-December  so we wanted to extend our celebration! :dance3:

All 4 pre-lit trees went up this afternoon. We won't decorate the trees until Tuesday since we will be out of school for Veteran's Day. The outside will not happen until Thanksgiving - I don't want the neighbors to think we are nuts!

Our trees will come down the day after Christmas - although my son has been known to keep his tree in his room until Valentine's Day!

WOW, I cannot believe so many of you have your tree's up already. I am so jealous, LOL.

We put up the trees right after Thanksgiving.

I have a TREE in EVERY room and it takes me some time. Some are themed for their location.

The one in the Living Room is all Lenox and Crystal with small twinkling white lights, 6' and soft snow on the boughs. I have collected for 23 years and it is truly a sight to see. It goes up last cause it is Real!

The one in the great room is Woodsy: wood animals and pine cones and berries, white lights as well. 6'.

The one in the Dining Room is Butterflies and greenery and snow tipped edges with red berries, white lights 6'.

The one in the kitchen is 4' and sits in the bay window, woodsy as well, very country feel, white lights and berries.

The one in my office is all Fairies and Berries and greenery and snow, LOVE LOVE LOVE it! (tjmaxx sells beautiful fairy ornaments @ 3.99 and 4.99 and they are so whimsical in case you're looking for some. 5' tree.

DS Game room has his original Christmas Tree from Grammy and Papa (since passed) and is so very special. He gets an ornament from me each year and has many from relatives as well. Brings back many memories, has M&M lights, only 3' tall and so overloaded that we place the ornament overflow on the table it is displayed on :rotfl2: I remember him standing next to his "big" tree, now so "small!"

Upstairs Foyer has a 5' tree that has family ornaments and white lights as well as snow.

After all the trees are up I then begin my Dickens Village Display. Anyone else do that??

It takes me Hours and Hours to get it all set up, lights and walkways, trees and houses with the people but I LOVE it and just stare at it each night "thinking" about the time period.....

Then the rest of the house is "dressed" top to bottom and then the exciting wait
till our annual Holiday Cocktail Party for ALL our family (about 30) followed by our countdown to our Christmas Eve Celebration begins...when my side comes to spend it with us...OH the fun and laughter (this year just 14 as my sister will be away, our first time apart :sad1:, though she'll be with a really special friend, in Hawaii with his family, so I can't feel too bad about it......
The following day its off to DH side for another day of celebration, after the three of us exchange our gifts and TRY to relax a bit.
Then my DS BIRTHDAY a few days later....Another celebration, though it is much quieter....
(By the way we have two other birthdays just BEFORE Christmas in our family as well, :scared1: , mine and my other sisters.

The HOLIDAYS, WooHoo, just can't wait.:cool1:
What fun this was thinking about the HOLIDAY SEASON!

Wishing EVERYONE a BLESSED HOLIDAY SEASON!!! :grouphug:
