Christmas Tree Traditions

We would always go out and purchase our "real" tree the day of the first snow fall when we lived in Illinois but now that we are Floridians I'm afraid we would be waiting a long time

So, I am looking to start another tradition.
Do you all have any traditions for purchasing/decorating your tree for Christmas? Do you do it on a certain day? Help me start a new tradition for our family

Scout around and find a tree lot that really gets in the mood. Plan to go back there every year. Bake a few holiday cookies early and play some Chrismas music for the car ride. Maybe rent a feel good Christmas movie to watch that night.

We usually do it the wekend after Thanksgiving, but this year we did it the weekend before...so, my tree is up!!
